Have you ever thought of adopting a kid?

I have adopted two nephews, and it is great now that they´re grown up.

I have a son, he's a busy little chappie, nearly 3 ft tall, and as fast as a rabbit. Cheeky, and inquisitive. He is approaching 16 months now. Tempus fugit, it really does.

As for adopting, it really depends on your own circumstances. We thought about it before, but the way this little one has taken up most of our time, I guess it won't be for a while yet.

So naturally; I won't adopt.

Its all good thought. I've got a bright career and a family that's needs a lot of attention as it is.

Seriously, I don't think that my OCD ass would be able to deal with the mess and disorder that children bring. I'd end up fucking the children up.

I think for now I'll focus on finding a guy first..

Yes, we have thought about it; but we are too old now for such a "younger-job"! lol

We truly love children and we have a lot to give; but when we were younger it was NOT as easy as it is now in most states of the U.S.

Please, if you have the where-with-all (money/assets) to take care of someone other than yourselves, consider adopting those out there who truly need some one in their lives to steer them through this bumpy ride toward adulthood.

To me, ego-related-children such as your own DNA is NOT particularlly necessary when there are so many out there who do not have anyone to help them. Try and consider dropping the need to have a child of your seed; but out of need and necessity? K?

I don't want to adopt any kids: I don't think I'd be a good father, and I don't really want to have to take care of a kid.

Yes, I think about it every day. Until I can afford it, I'm happy enough to be "Mom" to my 89 students and "Step-Mom" to my 70 step-students. (Step-students refers to the other class that I'm currently having to cover since psycho-teacher quit).

They just finished reading Holes in English, so they've all taken to calling me Mom in class. Kinda freaked me out the first couple of times, but now I just take in stride and call the boys "my daughters" and the girls "my sons."

I've bonded with them and they've bonded with me. We're a family of our own making.
