I worked permanent night shift (11pm-7am) for two years over ten years ago. Most enjoyable time at work. No supervisors, just a good small group of people. The place ran like clockwork back then. I'd do it again in a flash.

i did it for about a year - not happy about it -
was much better when i got to move to 4-12 - that way i had like 1/2 day free in the morning, before I had to get ready to go in at 4:00.

I worked full time nights for about 7 years. absolutely loved it. I was working as a paramedic at the time. things were much more relaxed at night. not as many admin people running around and getting in the way. We dealt with a much different clientele as well. If we were dealing with some idiot that was acting like a jackass you could pretty much tell him what you thought of him. Almost all of the people that I worked with wanted to work nights. We got to be good friends and knew what the other person needed before they even asked for it. I really miss those days. I had a lot of fun.

I voted no. In 1970 I was working in a factory, and at one point I was scheduled to go Third Shift the following week. However I ended up getting an interview just in time to prevent that, and I immediately segued (seamlessly) to the new job.

At my previous job, I worked 10PM - 6AM. It was okay, when in good company, but it does mess each weekday up, as you generally sleep through 'em! :/

yes i worked 10pm - 6am driving for a car co. we had to put 200,000 km on the clock . dirt roads , bad weather and wild life were always a challenge. damaging the car was a big no no.
all went well , loved it.
never drove more than flat out...................

I work for a 24/7/365 banking facility..I'm one of the Department managers so we all take turns with swing-shifts if someone has a dr.s appointment or something...

The best part about working Late hours is being able to sign in a friend for "discreet-play"...What's better than getting a "Rim-Job" on your "break" then going back to work with a smile on your face?

We all Love a Stress-Free work place and certain "Perks" should be allowed...

Actually the Technology Department where I work operates 365 days a year..The Bank branches close on holidays...We still havent paid back the bailout money we owe the Govt...So they've FIRED people like crazy over the last year...Many of the 6-figure plus executives have been terminated....Many of the Branch Managers have to Manage 2 Banks instead of 1 (With NO extra Pay)....

Hopefully I won't be a part of the next wave of Terminations that is certain to come in December...

Used to work from 10pm-10am >_> it was tiring but fun because You get to do nonsense in the office :D

I have for the last 15 years. I work at group homes and I like being there while they are a sleep plus I work alone in a regular house. I don't have to see other staff or deal to much with them.

Yes 11pm-7am every day for a year. At a Holiday Inn....as a night auditor.....wasn't so bad until I ran into a needy/demanding/evil guest. The pay was the worst part.](*,):help:

No the worst part was fixing the breakfast bar in the mornings :((Starting the bar off bf the breakfast bar girl came in to fix the real food)....only because I Hate the smell of coffee....HATE!!

I like working the red-eye flights every so often only because I'm home for 28 hrs. lying around while getting paid. You work the evening flight out from the east coast, get in around 7 or so pacific time, then work the red-eye the following night around 11pm. Most of the crew go to the hotel, but those of us that live here go home. It's not really a whole shift as the flight is only 4 or 4 1/2 hrs. eastbound. Many, many strange things happen on those flights.
