I told a hetero that I'd stopped going to clubs years ago. He asked "so, what do you do for fun", and he meant it. My " what the fuck do you do for fun" response didn't go over well, needless to say.

No, no, no and more-or-less-no. I HAVE worked in theater, but I mainly did sound, music, and stage design. My one role in a play was as one of the three husbands in Smell of the Kill. The three husbands are offstage smoking cigars in the living room, and later wander into a walk-in freezer and get stuck (also offstage). So I never actually appeared on stage - I simply yelled my lines from the wings. :)

That was such a weird show. Usually when I do sound design, I get a list of simple sound effects: footsteps, explosion, gun shot. This one only had four sound effects, but God, they were weird. I remember making the list.

* baby crying in baby monitor (three cues)
* three guys stuck in walk-in freezer in basement (four cues)
* gun shot, breaking clock on wall
* cat having golf ball shoved up ass

No to 1 - 3;

As for 4, kinda...I haven't been on Broadway, or to it for that matter, but I was heavily involved in my high school drama program, from musicals to plays. Some of the best years of my life doing that...
