Yes I have. I went from being a believer, to being an atheist, to becoming a believer again, joining different religious groups over the years. But I always question what I believe, or whatever religious group I might be affiliated with at the time might say. I believe in a God, but I think that God is different from what most people think God is.

I can see that my question was poorly worded. What I meant to say was along the lines of "Do you believe that our lives are provided for our experience (by God or the Universe or Karma, or whatever), OR ON THE OTHER HAND, it is all controlled by physical forces, laws of nature, etc., which operate independently of humans, OR a mix or combination of the two?"

I generally won't go out and pay to see a movie that I don't think I'll like, but I watched a lot of movies at home when I was with a lover who worked at a VCR rental place. I found that I liked some "lowbrow" movies I had previously avoided. For instance, I found Death Race 2000 to be a clever satire of contemporary American media and entertainment events.

There have been quite a few times that I have seen famous people, or been in the same room when they were there. Entertainers, politicians, activists, etc.
But I can only think of one or two occasions where I actually talked to a famous person, or shook their hand. In the 2000s I met activist Jim Hightower when he was on tour, I got him to sign a copy of a book he authored.
In the 1990s, I and my lover at the time received communion from Rev. Troy Perry, the founder of Metropolitan Community Churches (that's the gay church). My lover had a Catholic background, and he said it was like getting communion from the Pope.
I also was able to talk to Dennis Kucinich after his campaign speech about 20 years ago, the last time he ran in the presidential primaries. He advocated policies which were in alignment with the direction I thought the country should go, which of course meant he had no chance.

No I haven't, I just never had the body for it, even when I was young. But I have swam (swum, swimmed?) nude at nudist/naturist resorts and events.
