Not seriously. I remember being fascinated by the concept of rhinoplasty (cosmetic nose surgery) when I read a newspaper article about it at age 12. Wow! You can actually do something to improve your looks? But as I grew older, I never really thought about it, though my nose is rather large.

I can't recall if I ever specifically said fuck in front of my Mother, but I do remember cussing. I'm certainly not proud of it. She was elderly and frail, and showing signs of dementia toward the end of her life, though she was never officially diagnosed with it. Her personality changed, and she became scared, demanding, and infantile, and her demands exasperated me. Looking back on it, she needed empathy and compassion at that time, and my reaction was to rebuff her, since I was not used to dealing with a needy person.
