Have you ever...

Yes, but I'd say the bar was lowered in my younger dating years. Also, I have changed my religious affiliation numerous times over my lifetime, from Baptist to atheist, to Metropolitan Community Church (MCC), to Unitarian Universalist, and back to MCC (though with a more Unitarian Universalist view of religion). In my younger days I often dated guys whose religion wasn't clear, or it didn't seem important to them. I've dated various Protestants, Catholics, Jews, and atheists. The question is a little harder to answer, since my base religion was changing.

From my experience, I would say that I'm open to dating someone from a different religion, but I don't think I could continue in a relationship with someone dogmatically set in their religion, or with an antirelgious person openly hostile to my religious beliefs or experience. (I've read some of the postings of the most fanatical of the antireligious in their threads on JUB. Don't tell me they wouldn't lop off a few heads if they were in charge. Just saying.)

Yes, I have dated several guys considerably younger than I was, especially after I broke up with my ex after 14 years. I was 42 when I dated a 19 year old (he pursued me).We got together from time to time over about an 8 year period. I also dated a 31 year old when I was in my 40s, and I also dated a 24 year old Mexican guy when I was 48.

Have you ever reached a point in your life where you decided that you weren't actively dating?

I can't recall ever making a proposal to my ex in so many words, but we very much had the sense that we were married to each other while we were together. I know we would have gotten legally married if it was available at the time. We thought we were going to be together forever, but it lasted only 14 years.
