I met my best buddy of 25 years when we cruised each other across the street from a YMCA.
I always did better at places other than bars. And, now that I think of it, in the daytime rather than at night.

(The only time I ever picked up hitchhikers was when they started calling my name. Turned out they were guys I had known in high school who needed a ride across the bridge, which had no place for pedestrians.)

I came close. I saw a really cute guy in Old Compton Street and followed him towards Oxford Circus. As we passed the Ivy Brasserie I started to overtake him and just said "Nice arse buddy," we got chatting and he said if he wasn't heading to see his boyfriend he'd have taken me up on the offer of a drink and who knows.

All the time. I used to ride a commuter train for several years. I've also been on a couple of Amtrak trains.

Lots. Best way to go between New York and Philadelphia if you don't want to pay for Amtrak. Both cheaper and faster than the commuter trains, which involve a layover in Trenton.
