I don't think I've ever attended the same show more than once, but I attended two different shows by Carole King years apart. The first was at an outdoor stage at a large festival. I was so far away that she was just a figure on stage. They could have had Mick Jagger pantomime to her songs and I wouldn't have noticed the difference. The second time I saw her at a concert hall designed for performers, I could see her on stage well, and the acoustics were great.

She wasn't someone I followed as closely, but I saw Judy Collins at two different performances a few years apart. The first time I saw her at the University of Florida when she was doing her very serious songs, but it was a bad venue. Imagine her singing her beautiful "Send in the Clowns" in an old noisy basketball gym. She seemed intimidated by the boisterous college crowd, and didn't interact with the audience at all. The second performance was an outdoor concert at a local zoo. She was totally different, being more vibrant and alive, interacting with the crowd, and doing a performance suitable for the venue.

Yes, when I was a child. There were a number of animal acts which I don't think would be allowed these days.

Yeah. It's been a few years but I have a nice kite.

I got to ride on an elephant once. She was a cool creature, the size of a VW van, and was bored silly giving little kids a ride around a circle when $3 was a lot. Me being me, talked to her. "you are so pretty" stuff.
Mom gave all four us kids a ride. Then took a ride herself because we insisted. Thick tough wrinkled skin and her hair was like strands of wire. She liked the chunk of apple I gave her and I got a kiss on my head.

I've ridden a horse. I like English saddle better. Never fell off.

Have you ever made Eggs Benedict from scratch? Store bought English muffins are allowed. But from Hollandaise sauce to poached in simmering water eggs?
 
Sorry, I can't say that I have. I could never figure out how to cook eggs without breaking the yolk for starters, if that tells you anything. I used to try to cook omelets, which would always end up being scrambles.

Have you ever cooked a full meal for guests or several people?
 
Well , I've cooked Rolled Up Chicken Steaks ( a recipe my Grandma taught me ) for unexpected guests , since I had cooked a lot , my meal was enough , but my plan was to put the leftovers in the fridge for two more days , but because of the unexpected guests my meal didn't last ... ( I hate unexpected surprises , to me the polite thing to do is to announce you're travelling one day before )

I invited myself to lunch once actually , it was an ex pal's reunion ...
Someone else mentioned they'd be having a barbecue and I dared to go uninvited , what is funny is the main door wasn't even locked I opened and I entered the place ..
I simply did it to piss them off cus that ex pal owed me money

I was about to answer "I never get invited to parties" but then I recalled a time when I actually did that :lol:
A few years ago a fellow musician (someone I don't particularly like, even though we've worked together many times) turned 40. His wife contacted me and invited me to lunch, and I could bring a partner, too. From the first minute I was sure I didn't want to go.

Yes , specially raves I used to go in the previous decade , packing and travelling to another city was very stressful for me but most of the times I enjoyed myself dancing to house music and other types of electronica
