Not to an online con, no. But I always have to be vigilant, since the con artists keep getting ever so clever, and many people who become victims say that they thought they were too smart to fall for them.

Have you ever found yourself being conned by so-called legitimate businesses? For instance, Best Buy sold me a virus protection software package which makes an annual automatic deduction from my checking account, and has become a pain in the ass. I only found out later from Apple that antivirus software already comes installed, and that I don't need additional virus protection. You can't tell me that Best Buy didn't know that, but saw an opportunity to upsell unneeded software to unsuspecting customers.

Well , I don't know if this counts as conning , in 2015 , I bought a pricy laptop at a famous mall and it began having issues the 2nd day after I'd bought it . I demanded they give me a new laptop but they refused to ...
All they did was to receive my faulty laptop , they sent it to the capital city repair centre , in spite of specifying the issues the device had , my laptop was returned after a month , they did repair it but it never worked like a brand new laptop ( such a sloppy repairing it had ) ... I've always had issues with the USB " ports " and once in a fortnight it crashes unexpectedly ...

The only time I "lost" my wallet was when it left with someone who took it with him.

In a sexual context ? I've had sex dozens of times , but I've never spent the night with anyone as one is in a vulnerable state while asleep , furthermore , I cannot fall asleep in " foreign beds "

That's terrifying. I would be traumatised for life if that happenede to me.

Yes. I once interviewed a county commissioner for an alternative newspaper once. She turned out to be nice, personable, and knowledgeable.

Have you ever known anyone who committed murder? (Yes, I knew two different people, years apart, who committed murders, I probably knew them before the fact in both cases, and wasn't aware they had done it in either case until they had been arrested for it).
