I don't currently have any pets. As for exotic pets, I've had several birds over the years, cockatiels and parakeets. I lost the last two pets I had in 2020, a calico cat named Mango I inherited from my Mother in January, and Phoenix, a cockatiel I had for over 24 years, in November of that year.

That's a good long age for a cat.

I'm thinking I won't get another pet. Although I'm in reasonably good health now, I'm getting to the age that I will have to worry about pets outliving me, or at least being forced to make the heartbreaking decision to give up a pet, because I can no longer care for it.
