Seems like a bad idea to me, there are bacteria that belong there (so I've read), so to me it seems like it could through things out of wack.
Is colon cleansing the same as the procedure for prep. on a colonoscopy?

To my understanding it is either an enema or those homeopathic teas or such thing that supposedly helps "flush" one's colon, thereby cleansing it.

These cleanses are only a trendy fad and really have no basis in any kind of science. Unless you are getting a colonoscopy, it won't serve any purpose other than the placebo effect of making you think you feel better..
