I get what you're saying but this one line here reminds me of what straight people used to say about gays, and some still do. I know its hard to understand how a woman (or man) could feel the need to change gender, many straights are likely finding similar difficulty understanding why a man would want to have sex with another man. Acknowledging that it is there does not mean one has to accept it for his own life. But to be able to expect others to accept one for who/what he is he must also accept others for who/what they are, otherwise he/she doesn't have a leg to stand on when making the demand. As for calling transgender mental illness, they did that with homosexuality as well.......
