I'm not a doctor, but I would think it isn't the best thing to do - healthier to release it.
 
it's not any messier than anything else you do.

what about when you take a dump, is that not messy too... so if thats messy are you going to take a dump by sensations and not the dump it self cus that is MUCH more messier to clean up than cleaning up a bit of cum......

I can and did that for ages until I heard about the risks of not ejaculating. They say, it increases risks of cancers since you prevent fluid, which may contain bad cells to go out. I'm not sure about the truthfulness.
