HBO's "True Blood" [merged]

I hope the people at HBO realize how good the actor playing Godric is. Its nothing but extremely positive all around. He brought it to a different level and they recognize that

From TV Guide:

Any scoop on True Blood? The season is dragging for me. — Danny

Well, would Sookie and Eric naked in bed together spice things up for you, Danny? You'll see that, and the death — yes, death — of two prominent vampires, before the end of the season.
Oh fuck, Godric might actually be killed off. Maybe Nan kills him? And someone kills Nan? She is prominant too.

Or maybe Godric and the Queen of Louisianna?

Damn, Godric would have been an amazing recuring character.

I am hoping beyond all hopes.

BUUUUUT what if the two prominant vamps are Godric's underlings?

Yeah, stupid dream.

I think the vamps who die might be Lorena and Godric, since both are killed/die in the books.

I doubt Lorena dies, since the actress who plays her was just added to the opening credits.

I'm thinking Stan dies. The verdict is still open on Godric.

Lorena isn't really a prominant character.

I think they mean prominant as in important in the TB world.

AB could have done so much with Godric...uggggh! I know he doesn't die in the bomb attack, so how he will do it will be interesting.

Oh...what if Nan strips him of his Sheriff title, so Godric feels he has no need to stay anymore, and meets the son on his own?

wut.
Stan can't die...

In the books Godric willingly goes to the Fellowship of the Sun so they can help him meet the sun because he is a pedophile and he doesn't want to hurt children anymore. Now he's just this cheesy little hippie going all LETS LOVE EACH OTHER.

And Sookie was supposed to escape with the help of Luna, an undercover shapeshifter at the church after Godric owns Gabe in the face and kills him.

I really wanted to see the hot supe doctor that Luna took Sookie to but AB decided to change everything up....

:[

Lorena gets staked by Sookie in the 3rd book.

And I really hope Jason turns into that werepanther........

Well after reading the review, I must say, I am all types of excited.

Jeez, this thread has become full of marked and unmarked spoilers... I don't think it's safe here anymore.

I noticed that. There's a lot of 'in the book' this and that when the thread is clearly marked HBO's True Blood, which as far as I know, isn't the books. Besides that it'd be nice to not have to skip over post after post of spoilers guys....

Threads about TV shows almost always contain spoilers.

You'd be a fool to think you could come in here and not expect to see tidbits of upcoming episodes and/or book spoilers.

Well that's obviously a given. And I firmly believe you and everyone else has every right to discuss these spoilers.

My point is that instead of talking about the SHOW, people are talking about what happens in the books. And when they aren't doing that they are flat out telling us what is going to happen on the show when it hasn't happened yet, sometimes major storyline things. The majority of everyone has been giving warning but there are a few people in particular that talk about the spoilers as if they have happened already. I'm just asking certain people to give us a little warning :)

To be honest, knowing that Godric is going to take the fall to Nan Flannigan isn't that much of a major storyline.

Because we still don't know what happens after that. We don't know what she has the power to do, or what Godric will say once he takes the fall.

Those little tidbits they give people for next weeks episode (the written ones) are always like trailers. They never tell the full story.

I don't like to know anything. Nobody is discussing the show anymore, everybody's just talking about what's going to happen. I'd rather watch and be surprised. Normally this wouldn't be a big deal but people aren't marking things and tidbits of the novels and future episodes are being discussed too openly. Not everybody has read the books and not everybody wants to know every little detail of what did/might/will happen. I understand the show isn't exactly following the books but come on. Coming to this thread is ruining it for some of us because people are seemingly too lazy to mark things or care otherwise.

I go to a true blood board to have real convo's about the show.

There isn't a lot of spoiling on the site, but it happens. So tread lightly.

TONIGHT WAS AMAZING :clapping: Allan Hyde deserves an Emmy for this, the whole cast really for this one episode. Truly beautiful. If I could shed blood tears, I would.

That was a rather emotional episode.

I guess this explains how Sookie is supposed to fall for Eric. But I actually feel sorry for Bill now.

I was guessing that the Fellowship storyline would wrap up before the finale, and the finale would focus on Maryann. I was wondering when Sookie would finally confront the person/thing that almost killed her. Next episode looks really good!!! Jason with a chainsaw!! And I love the Lettie May-Lafayette vs. Tara-Maryann-Eggs storyline.

Tonight's episode was awesome and next weeks episode looks insane. It finally looks like that damn Maryann storyline is finally going to move now that everyone is back in town.

what an amazing episode. eric was so cute faking sookie out. i loved it. and i loved the wet dream. haha.

the scenes between jessica and hoyt, and sookie and jason, and sookie, eric, and godric were all so wonderful.

i cried at the end so hard. that was a beautiful scene. this show just keeps getting better and better.

i agree this episode deserves an emmy. it was so emotional.
