When I first heard about Godric I pictured a really old vampire. Even though vamps dont age, elder vampires tend to be in old bodies in media. I think it's cool and different that they made Godric young and hot.

I used to think the rev's wife and jason was kinda hot but now she's just annoying and skanky making all those faces.

Last nights ep was pretty good. Slower than I thought it would be, but it seems to be setting up for something real good.

I am curious what Sookie and Bill are going to be like once they get back to Bon Temps and see Maryann shacking up in her house. I wonder if Bill will figure her out or not.

That tub scene with Jason was so hot. You can tell she feels kind of neglected.

I was surprised how young they made Godric look, but good choice, that guy is hot. Nice getting to see Eric's past a little too. Gives you a little insight into Eric. I hope they keep that up. He is one of the more intriguing characters on the show.

It is going to be interesting to see Lorena back. I wonder how Bill will change now that his maker is back in his life. According to someone on the true blood wiki, in the book Bill and Lorena had a long and intimate relationship, despite her being his maker.

Now I am just wondering what will happen with Jason now. I bet he is going to help her get Godric out and back to safety. He will probably see Godric down there and flash back to Eddie in his basement. Not to mention, he won't want anything to happen to Sookie.

I wonder what Maryann is though. Someone mentioned she could be a maenad. What do you guys think?

^ Post #418 has an interview with the actress claiming Maryann is in fact a Maenad. It seems to be legit to me.

I hope Lorena puts a little space between Sookie and Bill. I'm sorry, I like them individually, but every time they're together it turns into a corny cheesy lovefest scene. They act so perfect and it just seems incredibly corny to me. I want Lorena to stir up some trouble.

I wouldn't be surprised if Daphne was working with Maryann. When she mentioned shapeshifting I immediately thought she was going to be the huge pig but I guess not. I wonder who the pig is. While I'm on the subject, can shapeshifters only transform into one thing or can they teach themself multiple forms?

Oh and I'm so glad we get to see more of Hoyt's character this season. How did I manage to overlook him last season? I mean, I knew who he was but I never really looked at him. I guess Rene distracted me... I kind of miss that psycho.

Something was brought up on the true blood forum.

The theory is that Eric called in Lorena to keep Bill back and let Sookie do her job. Makes sense seeing how Bill is being way over protective and getting in Eric's face a lot.

Good move on Eric's part.

Shape shifters can take on more than one form I believe. But it seems like they like to keep to one shape. I might be wrong though.

Hoyt is one of my fav characters. I love good boys, and he is just so infinitely sweet. I think he might become a vampire before the series ends somewhere down the road. That would be interesting to see. He does seem really interested in vampires as it is.

I like that thing he does with his eye brow, kind of like what the Rock used to do, but not so voluntary.

I DVR this show and generally fast forward through Sookie and Bill's scenes. Especially the sex. It's weird seeing Anna Paquin having sex because, she's a bit older than me, but I grew up with her. But also Sookie and Bill are so boring compared to all the other couples. And his "No Sookie!" crap is getting tired. Sookie is interesting when she's doing things without bill though.

I wonder if Jason and Sookie will cross paths at the fellowship of the sun church. Jason will probably blow her cover and get them both in deep shit. Then again, the preacher's wife might free them since she's so full of lust over Jason.

I wonder if Eric is bi. I would love to see him and Godrick get it on.

I also wonder if Sookie could develop her telepathy into suggestive mind control somehow. That would be cool if she could pseudo-glamour someone.

Hoyt is so adorably cute and his romance with Jessica is even cuter. I hope he stays a cutie pie with Jessica protecting him from other vamps similar to Bill and Sookie's relationship, except all cutsy and lovey dovey

I didn't recognize Bill's maker either until someone mentioned it here. At the end of the episode I was like "Who the hell was that?"

There's still one thing I can't figure out - like others have said, I think Maryann and Daphne are in on some plan to get back at Sam. But, the marks on her back implies Maryann attacked her as well. Hopefully that little old lady doctor who told Eric to "fuck off" was around

But I can't understand why Maryann would attack her, and how she survived...

I thought last nights episode was good, but more of a show that was laying a foundation for better things to come.

Mmmm, I don't think she is. If that were true, Eric would be her subject, and in the promo, it seems like he summoned her to Dallas. I don't think a Sheriff can do that.

Not to mention Lorena is significantly younger than Eric. And I don't think Eric would be like Godric and give up the chance to be made a King.

I was thinking the same thing! His concern for Godric seems more than just maker/sire. Plus his interaction with Lafayette seemed like more than just interest.
Btw, even with the blood Godric looked hot, and I like that he's so young, it's a change from the other vampire themes they've show us, i was expecting him to be really old and the guy who plays Danko in Heroes.

Lafayette looked so good back to his amazing glamorous self! I think if he told Sam what happened he would've went on a rampage and gotten himself killed.

If you just can't wait to find out everything, go ahead and pick up the books. Some things overlooked but already shown so no real spoilers here. But, Tara's character is a mash up of about 3 different characters, Amy and Jason, never happened. Jason going to Dallas, never happened. Lafayette still alive, nope. MaryAnn, a two paragraph blurb, she was never even named. I'm glad the producers and writers have taken this series off the book's time line and are liberal in the new directions they are taking. Keeps us Harris fans guessing. While I think major themes are still going to played out on the tube, the strong character development and new angles allow this show to be what it needs to be. Just my opinion, but this is the best horror/thriller/sci-fi soap opera to hit the small screen since V.

Does anyone else feel that the MaryAnn storiy line is distracting to the vampire theme. I am getting tired of her. Also, on the last episode, I was getting tired of all the romance. It was like a soap! Although the scene where Jason got the handjob was hot.

I think it would be hot to see Eric hook-up with Godric. I get the impression that vampires all kind of bi. Anne Rices' more than Harris'. In book #8 Pam hooks up with Sookie's female roomate.
