HBO's "True Blood" [merged]

They showed dick before but it was of a fat man. Tonight they showed the dick of an inshape hotty.

Eggs needs a full frontal

Lafayette in the ladies room cracked me up

The almost rape was difficult viewing.

Only one problem tonight: How on earth and where on earth did Godrick all of a sudden come from??? How was he able to all of a sudden break free and help out Sookie??? Why didnt he just escape from before. So that doesnt make sense. They have some explaining to do.

The flashbacks did not work this week unlike they did last week. This weeks flashbacks seemed like filler and it was unecessary.

We got a better understanding of what Maryann is.

Hoyt is so cool and its cooler that he is gay friendly.

Daphne :( i liked her. I guess its back to Bold and the Beautiful.

Oh and i loved the Leona Lewis - Bleeding Love lol it was only a matter of time

i think hugo set godric free, after hugo got the shit kicked out of him by the lodi henchman. i figure that hugo knew where godric was, felt betrayed by the church, then set him free while the henchman set his sites, and his dick, on sookie.

I havent read any spoilers but I have a feeling Godric wont survive. Sad cuz i really wanted some Eric/Godric sexin. Especially how after seeing Godric cleaned up.
Godric survives. On this other forum, someone posted the synopsis of the next two episodes, and Godric is in both, and one is post church altercation.

Ooooo good theory.

I was thinking he fought off the silver to get to her.

I got bored yesterday and watched the 1st season and the first episode of the second and I was still bored! I'm not getting the hype of this show. Nothing really is happening and things don't make sense. I do have to say Bill is really hot.I could have watched more new episodes but decided to catch up on Family guy instead. I guess after reading every Anne Rice book and following Buffy that this can't compete.

Anne's books really started to get bad after Queen of the Damned--but I still read 'em...I love this show and it's great that they are starting to be a bit different than the books.

I would say finish out the 2nd season.

I thought season 1 was really good. But that's me. Season 2 is even better.

I actually have watched every episode from both seasons and enjoy the overall story. I think the show could be much better though. Some of the dialogue is PAINFULLY cheesy, and the development are that happen are, for the most part, either out of the blue or fairly predictable. Subtlety is lacking as they spell damn everything out. Would it be so difficult to let somethings happen off camera then let us figure them out? I think the show does itself a disservice by continuing at the point the previous episode left off. The writers don't allow for time to lapse in the show, but many viewers forget about that because of the week in between episodes. For example, last season Jason and V-girl that staked the vamp fell met and fell in love within three days. Or like how Bill was only gone for a weekend at the vampire tribunal before Sookie wonders if vampire politics are more important to him and then kisses Sam. Things like the two examples I mentioned keep me from finding the show to be amazing because they just don't make sense. I'm not talking about realism either. I'm watching a vampire show, I obviously don't care how realistic things are. But I get bothered when things don't make sense, even in the context of the show. Sookie is a mind-reader and knew her cover was blown at the fellowship church but yet made no attempt to leave before it was too late. WTF!!! ](*,)

I think the show is alright, but it seems that so many people overlook things like this and say that True Blood is the best show on TV. I just don't see it that way.

I thought with Bill being gone for the tribunal. He had been gone for a week or two, and hadn't contacted Sookie in awhile.

They do let time lapse, but it is usually inside the show.

As for Jason and V girl. They fell in love after they both took the V and realized how they connected and had the most amazing pleasure without even having sex. Something you wouldn't expect from Jason.

I don't remember how long he was gone for, but I am pretty sure that it only took two days for Sookie to question Bill and kiss Sam.

I'll give you Jason and V-girl because of the drug. But earlier in the season, one of the women Jason slept with is killed but he's bangin someone else the next night.

The time lapses is in this show are at most a few hours. They rarely skip a night.

No, I think Bill was gone for at least a week. And I think something weird happened between Bill and Sam. I forget the situation though. I think he tried to kiss her, and she didn't want it, but I don't truly remember.

And which dead girl are to talking about? Mahdette or the waitress? And really, this isn't out of Jason's character.

Don't remember the names of all the characters but yeah Maudette and whoever else.

But seriously, the tribunal stuff really was two days before Sookie got all bothered. But I don't remember the time between that point and Bill's return. Watch those episodes again if you can. The problems with TB are very noticeable if you watch them in bulk.

I did watch them in bulk, and the continuity seems right.

I thought I heard Sookie telling Tara that Bill has been gone for a week and hasn't called or anything.

Cause didn't it take at least a day to get to the tribunal. Then the night of the tribunal. Then he had to spend a night inside the ground with her. Then the next night he was at Eric's place.

I will recheck though.

Rewatching, it was at least two days before he got before tribunal. Then another night of him sleeping in the ground with Jessica.

And while that was going on, Sam and Sookie were on the road for a few days trying to track down the vision Sookie just saw. Causing him and Sookie to get closer.

And didn't Bill return to Bon Temps for a few days without even seeing Sookie, and Sookie only say him after Eric dropped off Jessica?

That's like a week right there.

I hope you're right. I need to see him in as much action as possible.

I think Godric got free because he was never being held captive by the church in the first place. Eric himself expressed disbelief that someone could hold a vampire that powerful for so long.

My guess is that Godric is a suicidal vamp who turned himself over to the church willingly, but now he's pissed because the Newlins are putting innocent lives in danger -- hence him busting in to rescue Sookie.

Yea I think there is something weird like this going on. But st the same time I dont think they'd let a vampire just walk around their facility.

This may have been mentioned before but I think the actor that plays Bill is really NOT attractive.

Where exactly has Godric been that he waits until Sookie is near raped to show up? I mean when Gabe and Steve were shoving her and Hugo down the stairs, nothing. When they were held captive overnight, nothing. Like everyone and even the show has been pointing out, I find it hard to believe anyone has been holding him captive. At least not against his will.

I found it interesting that Steve had no idea that Jason was Sookie's brother and vice versa. It makes sense seeing as they didn't know specifically that the telepath was Sookie until Hugo told them but I just assumed that Jason was being paid special attention because of his relationship to Sookie.

The conversation that seems to keep coming up about humans and vampires being equals in terms of relationships together seems highly foreshadowy. I mean, it definitely let me know I was right in thinking Hugo was the traitor but it also seems like it's something that will be coming up fairly soon with Bill and Sookie.

While Jessica and Hoyt are definitely very cute and a refreshing change of pace from every other relationship on the show, it's almost a little too meet cute. A, the really need more screen time but B, only if there is going to be some added depth to their relationship soon.

Maybe someone knows the answer to this. When a maker releases their creation, does verbally saying it out loud actually do something? Like did Lorena releasing Bill mean that she no longer could keep tabs on him and know where he was or when he was in danger and things of that nature? Because why else would she come back when Eric called unless she had no idea where he was, especially seeing as though she wont even fucking let him leave the hotel room.

I think the actor is hot when he isnt playing Bill.

They make the actor look way too pale in the show.

Remember that when Gabe and Steve took Sookie and Hugo to the basement it was still the afternoon,so Godric was still sleeping.

And we've all just seen what happens to vampires when they don't sleep during the day.
