I saw the news about his comment on Secretary Clinton's body guards (Secret Service). That this is acceptable to Mr. Trump's base is, well, sad. Then one has to ask, "What kind of a fucking idiot would say such a thing?" A rhetorical question. There is only one. Trump's comment is as usual shockingly inappropriate, unscripted, unfiltered and stupid, even juvenile. More significantly, it is a very dangerous thing for anyone to say, let alone the GOP candidate for POTUS. If Mr. Trump were to be elected, and say this shit in reference to foreign leaders, what do you do with that? Donald being Donald. Narcissism, vindictiveness. Just thoughtless. A schoolyard bully who used a business career of screwing people to elevate the genre to an art form.

Don Jr. told George Stephanapoulos just yesterday that Don Sr. wants to talk about issues, creating jobs, etc. He doesn't want to have his important policy issues sidelined by talk about gas chambers and tax returns. Same day, Pappa Trump pulls this? Talk about going off track. JFHC! Can so many Americans be so hungry for "change?" and feel so disenfranchised and desperate that they believe this guy could somehow pull it together and be a grown up by January?
 
I was appalled when Reagan was shot. I didn't cheer. I didn't celebrate. Today if Hillary was shot, the majority of Trump supporters would party like it was 1999.
 
Not ALL Trump supporters can be described as that which is applied to some. Many are - but not all.

What gives the ugly ones the feeling of impunity is their cry that Clinton is all that Republicans have been saying she is and worse. It's as if society is supposed to be okay with the deplorable because Trump is trying to save the country form the evil Clinton empire.

I don't think Republicans dislike her, but they dislike her policies and those of her party. They would not want to see her hurt.

As for 2A, if Trump can deliver on his promises of the restoration of law&order and universal safety through better police support/arming and deportation, no civilian should need a gun for self protection ever again.
