Yesterday my pocket pc reminded me today is my dog's birthday. I got him a bone while I was out...it wasn't until I was waiting in line to pay that I realized he died three months ago. ](*,) ](*,) He would have been 13 today. I'd give up everything I own just to throw the ball for him one more time. :(

Happy birthday, Hoover. You'll always be my best friend.

My condolences to you. I know how important a four legged can be. I have one now that is approaching 14 in a couple of months. He has his moments but overall he is a gentle loving friend. I do not look forward to the time when I know he will depart, but I do know and cherish the time spent with him and caring for him. It has happened a number of times in my life, losing my grand friend, but each was very unique and has a very special memory in my heart. Wonderful companions. I hope you will find another and know you will never forget Hoover.

Isn't it amazing how you can love someone who can't carry a conversation, smells bad much of the time, licks his own ass, poops in the driveway, and barks all day soooo much?? I know I love mine that much, and it always gets me misty whenever I see someone else love a dog so much as well.

Wow..that's tough. I bet he was a great friend, sounds as though he was very playful. Are you waiting for a while until you look for another dog?

been four years and I still miss my dog. They're always with us.

I lost my dogs, Vernie and Norma, way back in 1990, but I still miss them. :(

Not really much else I can do; it always hits hard when a pet dies, because pets love you unconditionally, which is something hard to get from people.

In so many ways, dogs are better creatures than humans.

I'm so sorry for your loss...I kinda know how you feel. I have a dog too and I love her so much I think I'd just drop dead too if she died.

Peace, my friend .
