Headaches during sex...

Say your partner started getting headaches during sex. Everytime you have sex. What would you do?
 
I would tell him to go to a doctor to find a remedy for his headache.
 
I would push the twin beds together and tell Laura to ditch the pajamas today daddy is climbin' aboard!

That's exactly my problem. He's sure the doctor will just give him pills and be done with it. We have talked about it a a lot and he's unwilling and gets aggressive. I don't know what to do. He's trying different methods or medication and nothing has worked.

The only way that he will resolve this is to see a physician to see if it is coital cephalalgia. Men who have the condition often have other types of migraines that are also undiagnosed. Some of the responses in this thread are why this condition is considered one of the most under-reported type of migraine- people think that "sex headaches" are a joke. They're not. He will probably get a CT or other studies to ensure that there's not another problem. Ultimately, he may be referred to a headache specialist and different medications will be tried. Some men with the condition are put on daily migraine preventative medications. Other men are given different medications to try before and after sex that will relieve the headaches. It is very rare that the headaches can be managed with over-the-counter medications or other self-treatments.
