This is nothing to do with autism or any heath related matter and everything to do with the Project 2025 belief that women should not be allowed painkillers, because women in agony is all part of God's plan.

I haven't found anything in the Project 2025 documentation mentioning pain or pain management in women. Do you have the citation? This is nothing to do with autism or any heath related matter and everything to do with the Project 2025 belief that women should not be allowed painkillers, because women in agony is all part of God's plan.
It is important to note that while an association between acetaminophen and neurological conditions has been described in many studies, a causal relationship has not been established and there are contrary studies in the scientific literature. It is also noted that acetaminophen is the only over-the-counter drug approved for use to treat fevers during pregnancy, and high fevers in pregnant women can pose a risk to their children. Additionally, aspirin and ibuprofen have well-documented adverse impacts on the fetus.
So stupid. Nobody is going to trust the FDA anymore. And the FDA's attempt to clean up the mess:

FDA Responds to Evidence of Possible Association Between Autism and Acetaminophen Use During Pregnancy
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today initiated the process for a label change for acetaminophen (Tylenol and similar products) to reflect evidence suggesting that the use of acetaminophen by pregnant women may be associated with an increased risk of neurological conditions such as autism andwww.fda.gov
It really is one of the stupidest things I have ever read...reads like it was dictated by RFKjr...with weak citations of clinical studies. The FDA has always been suspect...but now I think that it will likely squander any intellectual authority and credibility it has over the next few years. So stupid. Nobody is going to trust the FDA anymore.
Kenvue is preparing for an explosion of litigation over its popular pain reliever Tylenol after the Trump administration warned that the drug’s active ingredient is a potential cause of autism.
The finding by President Trump’s health officials, which Kenvue and some medical societies dispute, could provide ammunition to plaintiffs’ attorneys who are seeking to reverse losses in older lawsuits alleging the medicine caused the neurodevelopmental disorders.
“Don’t take Tylenol,” Trump instructed pregnant women around a dozen times during the White House news conference Monday, also urging mothers not to give their infants the drug, known by the generic name acetaminophen in the U.S. or paracetamol in most other countries.
Shares of the New Jersey consumer brands company tumbled 7.5% Monday. Shares have regained most of those losses early Tuesday in premarket trading.

Absolutely crazy. What a headache this is going to cause for the medical practices.
My cousin did his doctorate at Stanford, demonstrating that it was actually the bulls that were responsible for defects and miscarriages among cows.
He spent his career teaching around the world and helping to develop healthier cattle herds in developing countries. His work made me think when I read this.

Because women are still considered the more essential parent. This reminds me of watching a 60 Minutes episode a couple of decades back, in which everybody was getting bent out of shape because WOMEN were using medical technology to give birth after menopause. I remember thinking "why is no one concerned about MEN who have children at an advanced age, in the 60s or 70s, either naturally, or with assistance from a fertility clinic?" Statistically they will either die or at least be physically and mentally incompetent before that child reaches adulthood. Why is there no concern about the inevitable disruption in the child's life?
