Health News that Trump Doesn't Want You To Know

The NAZIs based their policies on the Eugenics movement in the US.

Which was based on racism, ableism and bad science.

It is surely only going to be a matter of time before HHS comes out of the closet with their eugenicist driven policies...Kennedy has already made it clear that people with autism are somehow sub-human.

In the upcoming months, it would be a good idea to pay closer attention to their next phases of natural selection policies being put into practice.

It's hard to be an optimist when dealing with RFK Jr's HHS.

Remember a few years ago when Republicans in Congress were clutching their pearls about a Supreme Court decision that included a legal history lesson on what other countries were doing? The nerve! To consider that the US is not always right and maybe other countries have good (or better?) ideas!

Apparently, that "US is always right" attitude doesn't apply when you want to get rid of vaccines.

HHS is considering adopting Denmark's childhood vaccine schedule because it aligns with the anti-science that anti-vaxxers like RFK Jr like.

Do We Want to Outsource U.S. Vaccine Policy to Denmark?

According to reports, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) is considering making further changes to federal recommendations for childhood vaccines to align with those of other peer countries, particularly Denmark. This follows a meeting earlier this month of the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) where childhood vaccine schedules in the two countries was compared (and changes to the childhood vaccine schedule were made), as well as a subsequent memorandum issued by President Trump calling for HHS to begin a “process to align U.S. core childhood vaccine recommendations with best practices from “peer, developed countries”.

Adopting Denmark’s schedule wholesale would mean fewer vaccines recommended for U.S. children through age 18. When looking at vaccines that are universally recommended for children in each country, the Danish schedule includes vaccines against 10 diseases while in the U.S., 16 diseases are included (now that hepatitis B is no longer universally recommended). The six additional vaccines recommended by the U.S. target respiratory syncytial virus (RSV), rotavirus, varicella, hepatitis A, and meningococcal disease. While the U.S. recommends more pediatric vaccines compared to many peer countries, Denmark is an outlier on the other extreme as it recommends fewer. According to the European Centers for Disease Control’s (ECDC) vaccine scheduler tool, none of the other 29 ECDC countries recommends a schedule that targets just 10 diseases. In fact, many countries recommend vaccines for 15 or more diseases including Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, and Poland; Austria’s schedule targets 17 diseases, even more than the U.S. now.

So comes the cold weather, lot of parties, lots of people in airports and influenza.

The CDC is estimating that we currently have 4.6 million cases of influenza, 49,000 of which required hospitalization and there have been about 1,900 deaths.

Influenza A is dominant and there is a variant in circulation that has partial variation from the strains that are in the 2025-2026 flu vaccine. Experts are still recommending that everyone get the flu shot since it will lower risk of acute illness and hospitalization. There are also over-the-counter tests available at your local pharmacy that test for influenza and COVID-19 in a single test (insurance covers costs of purchasing the tests).

I am not happy that I have been requested to attend a meeting tomorrow in person in a high risk environment.

My niece and one of her boys have the vomitting flu and he has been quite sick with it and she has the respiratory issues...we have asked them to reconsider coming for Christmas dinner if the other two in the household feel ill...it is running rampant here. Back to masks and tons of sanitizer.

From one of the most respected journals of medicine, definitely some warnings to be concerned about...as the year draws to an end.

Undermining science is a well-worn tactic of autocrats—passing ordinances with sweeping powers, installing puppet appointees, and aiming to influence public discourse through censure of academic institutions and those populations deemed as enemies and undesirables. The coup de grâce will be if the administration and Congress resolve the debate over the Affordable Care Act's subsidies humanely, or whether they push millions of people to live without affordable health care after Dec 31.

The gym has been strangely empty the past couple of weeks. One of the employees said, "Yeah, they all are home sick with the flu". Most of them didn't get a flu shot this year unless they worked at an employer who required it.

Flu cases are surging and rates will likely get worse, new CDC data shows

Flu season is off to a rough start this year, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. While the virus arrived as expected, cases are rising faster, compared with previous years.

Last week, more than 19,000 patients with influenza were admitted to hospitals, up about 10,000 from the previous week, according to new CDC data. To date, the CDC estimates at least 7.5 million people have been sickened, and over 3,100 people have died from the flu.

Lab testing shows that 91.8% of samples were Influenza A, type H3N2, 89.5% of which subclade K, which is only partially covered by this year's flu shot.

My neice and her family didn't get the shot.

Junior Kindergarten.

Two of them were terribly sick.

So the other two have now had their shot.

^^ Gyms can be really infectious.
There was a period of time when people were cleaning the machines at the gym before and after they used them. In recent years, they have returned to old bad habits.

And I think that's where a lot of the flu transmission is happening- in schools. A lot of the people that I know who have gotten the flu have school-age kids. Unless the kids get the flu shot, they don't have any banked immunity to influenza A.

Hopefully this one is no longer a licensed physician.

It's likely another case of bots ampifying troll posts.

Secretary Brainworm strikes again. This was against the recommendation of the experts. Denmark was used to justify eliminate vaccines for rotavirus (which causes severe diarrhea and is very contagious), bacterial meningitis (which kills 1 in 6 people it infects, is highly contagious and can result in permanent brain damage in survivors) and influenza (which can kill the very young and very old). Eliminating influenza vaccination will result in hundreds more deaths in children each flu season.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention will soften its advice for vaccines that include those targeting rotavirus, meningococcal disease and influenza, which the agency reported Monday has already killed nine American children] so far this winter season. Those shots will be recommended under a concept known as shared clinical decision-making, which emphasizes conversations between health care providers and patients before choosing to vaccinate.

Well we know that the broligarchs want 1/3 of the US population dead if not deported. So there's that.

I still say they want to kill us. How many unnecessary deaths will result? When the result of an action is people die, then people dying is the intention.

"Us" are safe, because we got our vaccines.

Who this hurts is poor children whose parents can't afford to pay the $100-$250 per vaccine.

The Affordable Care Act required insurance (including Medicaid) to cover 100% of the cost of vaccines. Unless the states mandate the vaccines, insurance won't be required to pay for them.

The guy who could fix this is Sen Bill Cassidy [R-LA], who RFK Jr lied to (according to Cassidy) in order to get Cassidy's confirmation vote. But Cassidy is up for re-election and elections are more important than the health and welfare of American children.

This is part of why I've come around on the idea of term limits.

No one is safe.

Their goal has always been to thin the herd.
Miller said we had 100 million "too many" in the U.S.
That's never been only illegal immigrants.
It's been the elderly, so they don't have to pay Social Security and Medicare.
It's been the children, so they don't have to pay Child Tax Credits or child care.
It's been anyone not part of their theocratic white nationalist master race.
It's been disabled people whose labor they can't exploit.
It's been poor people, so they can cut the safety nets that keep them alive.
It's been the weak and unhealthy, because they only want able-bodied labor to send into sovereign countries for oil and money.
It's about Gilead and controlling the women to be subservient to their masters.
And it's been eliminating anyone who opposes der Trumpenführer.

Just. Like. Germany.

Cutting vaccines is just one of their weapons but hits many of their targets. If people we hate get sick from previously preventable diseases, so much the better for our wallet and our power.

"Us" is all of us. Everyone is a target now.

^ There is no question that the Executive Branch has put a target on the backs of the poor, elderly, disabled and women. Homos will be on the list at some point.

Again. It is about survival of the fittest...and when the country is overwhelmed by the sick and dying, the homeless and the hopeless, there will just be more concentration camps and prisons.

We've been here before.

But it is an utterly nihilist and zero sum vision. The American oiligarchs and broligarchs and kleptokrats literally don't seem to understand that their power and fortunes derive from a stable poor and middle class.

This malthusian dystopia doesn't seem to also recognize that the rest of the world isn't going to destroy 1/3 of their populations. India and China will be rapidly producing enough people with military power to challenge the rag tag white supremacist leftovers beset from all directions by the enemies the US is making around the globe.

It does make me certain, however, that the white class they envision as ubermenschen is intended to still be served by serfs and slaves.

Like the Rus see themselves and have structured their state.
