Hello!

Thanks everyone again. Soilwork, that's so true, although I think for people that have known you your whole life its a bigger deal for them.

I would rather it WASN'T a big deal for them though if possible. I want as little drama as possible over the whole thing.

The really awkward question I get asked a bit is "What?! You're a Virgin? No way, Why?" and basically the best response I can give is "Uhhh I'm saving myself" which is kind of true actually. I would rather not my first time be with some random person off the street.

But really what I'm thinking is "You have no idea..." :^o

(so why don't you just say "Haven't met the right guy yet" and leave it at that? I know it's easy coming from a 38 year old from LA, but I've found that if you act as if they've always known and that it's not a big deal, it won't bea big deal to them.. just a tip from a former self-identifying bisexual)

Thanks for the welcome Rigr there are a lot

Soil, there are right now five people in my life that know I am bisexual. My older cousin, his twin sisters, the girl, and my friend from home. Why would I begin telling everyone in the world that I am bisexual? It's a very complex situation.

First, it's not like I can just make it like it isn't surprising. People who know me just don't think that I'm gay. I'm not trying to brag about that, its just a fact. Everyone I've told so far has been very surprised.

Second, I'm easing my way into this whole situation right now. I've only been "out" for two weeks now. I'm not sure if your view is that we should all just be completely open, but you have to look at it from where I am coming from as a relative newbie at this whole thing.

Right now I am trying to be "strategic" about the whole deal for a lack of better words. I know I want to tell my parents, and I'm going to. Right now I'm at school so I'm waiting until I get home so I can tell them to their faces. They have been amazing assets to my life so far and they deserve that face to face honesty. Same goes for my sister, and my buddies at home.

For my buddies at home, I will have to pick and choose. Most of them will be fine with it. Two of them are very very conservative and christian though. I'm basically positive they would accept me but I don't think they could ever understand it. At this point in time I just don't see telling them as worth it because they are too naive. One of them and his girlfriend actually don't believe bisexuality is real. Perhaps I will tell them in the future to enlighten them. I probably will. Just not now.

This is going to be a gradual process for me. I'm trying to not burn any bridges in the process, or at least all at once. :D

OK... deal with things the way you want.

But let me tell you a story.

In first year college, I won the Womanizer Of The Year award in the music department (I was a jazz vocal major... I wanted to be the next Harry Connick). I dated every girl, picked up at every party, I'd pick up enough girls to hand them off to my friends every time we went out. My friends had NO idea I was gay at all. They used to come to me for advice on girls because I was so good with them.

After summer vacation, I accidentally outed myself to my room mate (he found my porn) and the gig was up. I told him.. he had no problem at all, we went out and in my drunken state, I told one of the gay guys from school at a pub.. and that was it. I was suddenly gay.. totally out..

Word got around in about 20 minutes, and I didn't have to go through that coming out process. YES, at the time, I felt like control of my life had been taken away... much like when you get thrown in the deep end of a pool without knowing how to swim... then I learned to swim pretty fast and realized that this was the best way to do it... let everyone else deal and not go through much on my own.

Everyone handled it in their own way.. some of my close friends took a bit to deal (although my best friend still gets the award for asking me what cock tastes like) but in the end, I was still Jasun.

you take all the time you need, but remember that the bigger a deal you make out of it, the bigger a deal people will think it is.. people take their cues on how to react from the alpha dog.. that may as well be you...|

you have the best stories...

I agree here, it is best to just be natural and let everyone else figure out thier own response. Personally I don't go around with a sign on my chest "Hi, I'm gay!" If someone asks I tell them. If I'm telling them something and it includes I'm gay I don't avoid it, and I don't yell it either.

I appreciate jasun's str8 forward way, I always think it is best to be frank.

Oh yeah I definitely believe in being frank and honest. I am one of the most open and blunt people you could ask. At this point, if someone came up to me and asked, I would tell them. But like you said mex, I'm not going to walk around with a sign on my chest.

I put up some pictures in my profile as well to give you guys a little more look into what I'm like as well. Take this as a sign that I'm not afraid for people to come across this site and see who I am, soil, :-)

I'm still going to do things my way though ..|

Hi, Life! ;) Call me stupid, as many people do! LOL But I still don't see an attraction for guys. Do you look at gay porn? Do you get aroused in the gym? What exactly makes you think you like guys?

PM me, if you like.

lol

It's fine I'll answer that right here.

Yeah, I do look at gay porn. I've actually found myself more equally attracted to both sexes since I have admitted I am bisexual, whereas before I was more attracted to guys (sexually).

I've always known I was attracted to women before this though for a few reasons, the most significantly being that I was in love. One of my best friends is honestly the most amazing girl I have ever met. She is beautiful, funny, humble, and best of all, kind. It's hard to find beautiful girls that aren't completely full of themselves. Unfortunately she has been dating one of my buddies for 2+ years now, so I've learned to accept her as a sister but TBH if they ever broke up and she showed interest in me I would probably go for it. I'll always save a special spot for her.

Buuut to answer your last question, yeah the gym is definitely a prime place to find some hotties

And what ultimately makes me think I like guys? Because when I see a hot one I want to stare. And because they turn me on.

hi ... welcome to JUB ...

... i hope you don't mind me saying .. but you are absolutely adorable ...

Bahh what is this "Adorable" What am I, jailbait? ;)

To me you are, and I like younger men. Any 19-25 year old man is so corruptible, and I like to turn your young asses out. Old enough to be legal, but young enough taught a thing or two.

You guys are at the peak of your lives and have the stamina of a wild animal.

I think you might just be my hero..|

Hey Lifesaver,

That was a great story mate. I do think that it take a lot of courage to come out, the uncertainty of what people would think or say about you, but definitely glad to hear that you have some good reactions so far. ..| Take your time and do it at your way, at the end of the day, it is really no one else's business what you do or who you are sleeping with in the privacy of your own room!

Welcome to jub. As others have said, be comfortable with who you are but you don't have to broadcast everywhere. And btw, you're a cutie

Haha Ninety true at the end of the day it really is just my business but we know how word travels fast...

Thanks everyone for the nice replies, they all help

Alright then Tierra, corrupt me!

Hi, Life! ;) OK, that is the kind of details I was missing from your first post. So, you are "bi."

"Kind" is hard to find in either gender.
