My bf's and I are celebrating our first anniversary on Sept 27th at 5:40 pm (yes I remembered the time hehe) He is away at school for the Navy so we can't be together but I want to do something special for him because I know were going to be together forever. I was thinking about doing a scrapbook of all of our stuff like putting the letters he sent me from boot camp and pictures and stuff. Any other ideas?

Well just an idea .............. I have seen it done at weddings, at receptions, anniversary parties, and at funerals .......

Put together a photo slide show, set it to your favorite music, or favorite love songs that someone share the two of you in the lyrics, and you can upload into it copies of cards or letters or notes that you have as well. You could kind of show the one year spent together in pictures and in song.

You could save it to a flash drive or CD or DVD and you could give it to your BF and he would have it with him always and could play it whenever he was thinking of you or wanted to remember the good times the past 12 months has provided.

As we just completed our 26th yr together today, my advise is just be you, go have a nice dinner, or make it -if you cook. Put you scrap book together, get him a small gift that he can carry on him to remmeber.

But if he's at boot camp is he going away after that? That may get in the way.

Just try to be who you are and show the qualities that made you hook up. Take pic's, and save a keep sake item of the day to remember.

We have all the keep sake items from each yr of our aniversay. Hope fully you have many yrs of companionship..

I took my bf to a really nice hotel in Boston, the nearest city to where he lives, and we had a great time! Regardless, it is the thought that counts!

Thanks for the help guys! Im going to do the scrapbook idea and a more tangible gift that he can take with him back to Navy school which is the first season of Friends as he LOVES that show but who didn't ;P I also recently found out that he is getting me something and I hope it sparkles and round......

If you're seeing someone, shouldn't you change your status on here to something besides "Single"?

We agreed not to change anything for safety purposes because he is in the navy.
