So, this is my first post here and i was wondering if you guys can help me clear something for me:

what do you guys think about a "straight" guy who is only close to girls? I mean he is not close to any guys but only girls. I think something does not add up. any thoughts?

Well, no context, no evidence, no story, no opinion.

What do I think, I've known several womanizing straight guys who had mostly female friends.

here's a little more about the story:
The guy in question is well was my best friend. we've known each other for 2 years. i was not interested at all in him at first and i thought he was gross and ugly. after a year of getting to know him better, i started having feelings for him but at the same time i knew it was only one sided.
We got even closer with time and my feelings became more and more strong until i could not keep it to myself anymore.
So i told him the truth and he basically just left me. i always thought he was straight until i was talking to one of my gay friends. I told my friend how i was his only guy friend and that all his other close friends are girls and my gay friend told me that he does not think he is 100% straight.
so i was just wondering what you guys think of that

In my experience? I've never known any "straight" guys that don't have any straight guy friends. [-X

Most straight girls that I know don't have any "straight" guy friends where that guy has nothing but other "girlfriends." Unless he's charming as hell, and hung like a horse that is. ;)

Me thinks that your "straight" friend is nothing more than another "girlfriend" to those girls.

But to be fair this "straight" friend of yours may not be aware of that either.

I'm curious though, based upon what you've shared, what difference would it make at this point? :confused:

Well the point is that i think he likes me also. maybe its just wishful thinking but i mean we've been through a lot together and what we had was more than a friendship. we both know it. the problem is that i think he does not know who he is. he is confused about himself. when i told him about my feelings, i think maybe he realised that he likes me more than a friend and he ran away from me because he got scared of his feelings. He always thought he was straight and i guess he found something he did not expect about himself

The reality is that if he says he's straight, then he's straight.

And if he ends a friendship because you told him that you're gay, then he's a straight and an ass.

Hmmmm...

I agree with your friends...

I've NEVER known a STRAIGHT guy that ONLY had female friends...

NEVER...

And I have a LOT of STRAIGHT friends...

It just doesn't happen...

HAVING SAID THAT -- I don't have any GAY friends that ONLY have FEMALE friends either...

Seems like a weird conundrum...

:confused::confused::confused:

If he says he's straight, he's straight;

Never judge a book by its cover; the fact that he's got nothing but female friends doesn't mean anything!

I have a few female friends who have mostly male friends;
I'm gay and have all straight friends.

Even if this guy was gay and denying his sexuality to himself, right now that makes him as good as straight, until he accepts that part of himself. You can spend a lot of time and energy getting nowhere and it is best to try directing your affections elsewhere where they might be better received and reciprocated.

my friend's fiance who is straight has no guy friends and his 3 best friends are girls. hes 100% straight.
