Hi all, I'm not sure if I've got this properly formated and stuff but I'll try to put the stuff together and make it make sense... If that makes sense... Haha.

So heres the story, I met this guy online and on our first meeting. I met him at his place. He seems like a really nice guy he made us dinner then we watched a movie curled up together on the couch then curling up together turned into kissing and cuddling and later on turned into hot sex in the bed....

So basically I want to turn this 1 night stand relationship into a real long distance relationship between me and him... What I'm unsure of, is that wheater if he thinks the same? And if not will I maybe...just maybe have a chance? And if I do how should I begin purposing to him? There are so many other questions that I want to ask.... but at the moment these are all that I could think of.

Any help will be greatly appreciated! Much love. Thanks heaps!! (*8*) xx

Well have you hung out besides this? Because if not I would take a step back and let things play out for at least another couple of dates. Most people could get "scared" off if they go fast when it comes to the word "relationship." I think the best thing you can do right now is to just continue talking to him and hanging out with him and then after a week or two talk to him about your feelings and tell him that you like him, etc.

Best thing to do is ask him to go out with you to a public place like a movie and not go over each other's place. That will show you that he isn't in it for sex. If he says no to a movie or insists on his place or something of the sory, he is probably just looking for sex (he could be discreet, but idk those details).

Hope this helped! Any more questions, PM me.

That sounds nice, I just texted him... waiting for a reply now haha kinda paranoid that he won't reply :/

Really like ucfknight's approach and glad you texted him. Let us know what happens!

Your post resonated with me and made me smile. I met my partner of 15 years on a chance-encounter that turned into a 1-night stand. I was so taken by him that I had the exact same questions as you (except we weren't talking about a long-distance relationship). I didn't know how to express my interest, in what way, when, or whatever. Plus, I was totally new to this. So, I just cast fate to the wind, called him the next day and blurted out "I liked what we did that night. Do I have a chance?" That's really uncharacteristic and bold of me, but I was falling fast. He said, "Sure, I liked it too" and the rest, as they say, is history.

Sorry for the detour of this thread. When I read your post, it could have been mine 15 years ago. I hope you have the same result. Let us know!

Aww thats sound so sweet, you two! He did text me back and said something like "will catch up soon!" so at least now I'm sure that I wasn't used for sex.... Even if I were, it's not something that I'll regret haha cause I actually like him, but sex is not what I'm after with him not that I don't like it... it's just I want a relation with this guy. Something more than just sex and 1 night stand.

I'll just have to find a way to express myself and purpose to him but I really don't know how.... what to say, how to say it... when to say it?

If a guy makes dinner for you and you watch a movie before sex, I'd say that's much more than a typical hookup. I'd say your chances are very good.

(And Eagle's story was soooo cute!)

Really???! You think so?

I think that its really sweet of him! But there's something that I can't explain that I'm unsure of....

How/When should I start asking him?

Should I text him? But I don't want to sound like I'm desperate

I agree: desperation is not becoming.

Relax and be yourself. There's nothing as attractive as self confidence.

Yeah, that's true. But by desperate I mean by calling him the day after we fucked... should I wait abit, maybe wait a few days - a week then ask him out again?, but how should I ask? I don't want to sound awkward :/....

Wait a few days and call and say, "Things moved fast the other night and I don't have any regrets but I don't think of you as a one-night stand, so I'd like to see you again".

And instead of focusing on making a relationship out of this, set a more practical goal- like getting to know each other, spending time hanging out finding out more about each other and going a little slower the next time.

Omg!! This is great advice! It's actually really really really really........ goood! Thank you so much!

I think it's great that you have met someone that you want to get to know better. It's such an exciting feeling! :D

Don't get in too much of a rush though. Take it slow, and allow things to develop at a natural pace. Give your new friend a few days...then if he doesn't reach out to you first--give him a call to follow up. Don't lock him into anything, but extend an offer to hang out again. Spend more time with him...and let it go from there.

You've received a lot of good advice here....
Pay close attention. ;)

Please keep us updated.

It is! He's not particularly super handsome/hot but there is just this something I couldn't explain that I like about him!

It's been 3 days now.... He still hasn't call/text yet but from the last text he did say "will catch up soon!" and His mum arrived and will be staying for a few days with him maybe that's why he hasn't call/text me yet. But I'm actually kinda paranoid that he might forget about me or have already forgotten about me.

I'll wait a few days then I'll text him and see how things go.

Sure will keep you guys updated! Wish me luck!(*8*)

So it has been 4 days or 5 can't even remeber and he still haven't text/call me back yet. :(

More advices please?:(

More advices please?:(

Sadly, it's time to move on.

Since he acknowledged the text, you know that he received it.

Guys who say one thing and do another aren't worth your time or trouble. With his lack of action, he's doing you a favor by telling you he's a flake and he isn't interested.

Think of it this way- you are an employer and you are interested in hiring someone. You call them to make them a job offer and they say, "I'll call you back in a few days!"... you'd get the message that they're probably going to be a flaky employee and not someone that you want to hire.

It's the same with people you date. People who are interested call when they say they are going to call. People who are adults and have their act together don't play the "I'll call you" game. Anything other than this is not someone that is going to make good boyfriend material.

Move on.

find someone better.

I guess I should just move on then........ *sigh* and was so convinced that he's "the 1"! Or could it be he's waiting for me to text him?

If he was "the 1", he would be talking to you in person. Not text on a screen. Not someone that would be waiting for you to contact him (again).

Sorry.

OMGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!

He texted me and he asked me to go out with him! Like a date!! OMG OMG OMG!!!! I can't believe this!(!)
