You are correct on that.
HOWEVER you do not have to use the default format. My brother, the poor soul unfortunate soul he is, did his contract on Microsoft Excel :O
But to get to the point he made up his own contract with limits, what he likes and doesn't like, sleeping conditions, and so forth. And he had his Sir read over it and fill in the questionnaire thing as well.
That is done when you move in with a Sir or become a full time slave.
I am just part time. I serve my Sir whenever I can or just spend time with him and sometimes brother and then come home to my normal life and go to school.
However. There are things on MY contract that say things such as my Sir will not give me any marks that will be visible or show for long periods of time. SO NO PIERCINGS FOR ME
Or at least for now. The contract expires 6 months and then it's either changed, a new one is made, it's terminated, or a permanent contract is made. But we've talked about this alot and until college is over the permanent thing will have to wait.
The contract basically needs to apply to what situation both the sir and the slave are in.
If the slave is long distance then there are certain things you don't really need in the contract. If the slave is part time you don't have to put some things in because they won't apply. But if it's a full time slave it has to be in great detail so it's not a "He says, she says" thing.
[STRIKE]THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID :O[/STRIKE]
But the slave has a great say in the contract. The contract is tossed back and forth until there is a MUTUAL agreement between both parties and both sign upon it and agree. And they don't the next day go, "WAIT I NEVER KNEW ABOUT THIS IT WASN'T IN THE CONTRACT."
That's why it's very important to read the contract.
There is also something called a slave registry that I recently learned about and A SLAVE registers his Sir and ONLY the slave can register the master and take the master off if he gets a new master or something. A slave also gets a slave number.
DOM's sometimes forget that slaves have alot of power and are much stronger than some doms give them credit for.
Unfortunately there are manipulative slaves out there who control the dom and get their way. But that doesn't work on all.
Basically each are their for a reason. A sir shouldn't take advantage of a slave because the Sir needs the slave. And the slave shouldn't take advantage of the Sir because the slave needs the Sir. They both co-exist on each other.
And that goes for any relationship not just D/s or M/s.
No limitless slaves are cam slaves. Simple as that.
But yes there is also the greetings. Which is very useful depending on all kinds of situations. If My Sir calls me by my first name I know to call him by his first name. And with a majority of people out there not understanding the lifestyle you can see how useful it can be to switch from Sir to the man's first name around not friendly kink people.
But yes it is in no way legal binding.
