Help me turn on my 'Gaydar'

Alpha males are always trying to be dominant. Holding a gaze to long can be antagonizing. They want you to look down or get your ass kicked.

I was in the military and this kind of thing goes on a lot.

In past generations I know that there used to be things guys would do to signify that they were gay. I think one was wearing a ring on your pinky finger. Then in the 60's or 70's, it was sticking a handkerchief or bandana in your back pocket. After that came getting one's right ear pierced because the right meant you were gay, the left was hetero. I remember in the 90's there were rainbow necklaces to signify being gay. The last one was probably wearing Abercrombie & Fitch because only gays seemed to wear their clothes until the metrosexual thing destroyed any hope of gaydar today for a lot of people. Someone needs to come up with some new clear sign for today.

Unless their dress, speech, or mannerisms are blatantly obvious give-aways, it's more art than science, and if they aren't interested in you, it may be hard to tell. It's not ordinary, though, for guys who are strangers to repeatedly check each other out, hold each other's gaze, smile at each other, follow each other around. Those are certainly some clues.

actually the dress, speech and mannerisms aren't a giveaway either...there have been a few guys that i was almost sure the they were gay and actually to this day i think they are but just don't know it yet, said they are straight and have girlfriends ...:S....so that part isn't 100% either
