Help - rash on scrotum!

I have a red rash on my scrotum. It doesn't hurt or itch but it does have a slightly bad odor. I never had sex so its not an STD. Any idea what it is and how to get rid of it?

It could be a mild dose of thrush. Pretty easy to treat with a broad spectrum anti-fungal cream like Canestan. You can buy the cream without a Dr's prescription at any pharmacy.

Thanks for the suggestion. Just before I go out to get it I want to share this pic I found. My rash looks just like this. Is it definately thrush or am I worrying over nothing?

I don't see a rush in that picture. Just a differently colored scrotum ..

The most likely suspect for groin rashes this time of year is fungal overgrowth- either tinea cruris or candida. Fungi love warm, moist environments and with the temperatures in the northern hemisphere this summer, there's been plenty of that.

Try an over-the-counter antifungal cream. A zinx oxide paste (available in the baby products section) sometimes helps. If it persists, then see your doctor.

When I used to masturbate with soap, my balls would get a rash and itch a little bit. A few days later I could even peel the skin off of my balls (Of course I had another layer of skin under it).

It only would happen when I use soap though. I don't know if this is helpful... but yeah.
