Help with rash

I feel stupid asking for advice but medical science has failed me. And my doctor is lazy. So I coming here for help. Does anyone know any good alternative medicine for a rash?
My actual doctor is NO help at all. I have a rash on my leg it will not go away. In total it's been two years. It started as an inch one night when I woke up there was a big rash on my right leg. I don't have any insurance so I see a low income doc who is no help. He gave me steroid cream.it worked the rash left. then it came back last year and my doc just gave up trying to help. So now I'm looking for alternative medicine to help. I've tried baking soda mixed with water then I tried ,coconut oil and tea tree oil nothing helps I even tried jock sitch cream nothing helps the redness goes down but nothing heals. Does any one know of anything? I'm at a loss
 
If it responded to steroid cream, you should try that first. There are lower strength hydrocortisone creams that are available over-the-counter. You can buy them at Target or Walmart. If you're unsure which one to buy, just ask the pharmacy staff to help you.

Be sure you moisturize. Aveeno or Cetaphil are good moisturizers to use during the winter.

See if the hydrocortisone cream works. If it does, then that will give you a clearer idea of what it is. If it doesn't then you should see another doctor. You also should look into getting enrolled in Medicaid so that you get adequate medical care when you need it.
 
I am prone to getting heat rash in the simmer time and I use the Hydrocortisone 1% Plus. This works quite well, as long as I don't sweat too much. You can get it on line through Amazon, or most any drugstore. There are several brands to pick from, the one I use is "Kirkland"
 
Is the rash scaly and flaking? It is possible you have Seborheic dermatitis, eczema or even psoriasis with out pics its kind of hard to tell I thought I had an allergic reaction to something turns out it was dermatitis. I mean you could have an allergic reaction to a detergent, soap, shampoo, lotion, fabric softener, the fabric itself, a mineral in your water, a household plant, a pet, a pets dander, a pesticide, a cleaning chemical. it might be a chemical burn too! You could possibly need a stronger steroid cream the OTC one are only 1% you might need more, you might even need a cortisone injection. This seems to me like you're going to have to bite the bullet and go to an immediate care center (not the er!) sure you may pay 80-100 but if your Dr is being an ass what choice do you have?
