Helping a friend's brother! What to do?

Well here's an UPDATE. What took me so long was to wait for him to turn 18. I apparently heard my friend wrong. Anyways I took your advice Spreadeagle and e-mailed him with the following. "Hi you've meet me once through your brother. He's found stuff on the computer and is worried about you. I just want to let you know that you are not alone here. If you ever need to talk to somebody who has been through what your experiencing then please email me back...otherwise check out the following website www.justusboys.com/forums." The response I got back wasn't very friendly. See for yourselves guys....

I haven't responded. Don't know if I should or not. Haven't talked to his older brother yet either!! His older brother is not gay....trust me on this...I've had the displeasure of walking in on too many scary things! !oops!

I would just email back saying you are sorry, that you must have been misinformed and you were only trying to help. I would also add "I hope you accept my apology." By doing this, I think you will let him save face and leave the door open for future communication.
 
Thanks O2 for the advice! But unfortunately I had to jump the gun. About 30 mins ago the older brother called me and was furious because he brother is passing rumours around to his friends (the older brother that is) that it's not him that is gay but the older brother and that he has 6 dvd discs of proof. Now the older brother wants to beat the living shit out of him. I guess the younger brother has even e-mailed the older brother's girl friend (pretty soon I'm just going to use names here! this is getting horrible)

So I pulled the rip cord and jumped out of the crashing plane.

I email the younger brother back saying the following.....

If your not a bit curious regarding guys then you should send the link to the friend that your making the discs for. I was just trying to help before your brother beats the shit out of you. I've listen to your brother for the past couple of weeks and am worried that maybe your confused and your taking it out on the wrong people. I've been through what you or your friend is going through and I'm here to help or use the site if you don't trust me.

sure maybe not the best thing to send him but I am not getting dragged into this any further. I emailed him, I showed him the light at the end of the tunnel and I've even offered to answer any questions he might have. My part in this is done. It's now a family affair.
 
Bit harsh, but I would include in there the little part you told us about walking in on his bro before. That way he can't make any claims that his bro is just manipulating you into thinking he's the gay one.

I commend you for trying. Your intentions were good however this guy is not mature enough to realize that you were only tring to help on behalf of his brother. Wash your hands of the entire situation. it's time to pull out.
