Hello:

Thanks for the posts. It's very helpful.

I think I have developed an internal hemorrhoid. I am having trouble getting to my doctor. There's no pain but there is bleeding. I have begun to use the Preparation H wipes and I also have the Preparation H gel but I wonder if guys have had good experiences with suppositories or not. Of course, I have just started seeing someone so this puts a huge damper on my self-image. I top but could get used to the suppositories.

Is it possible to self-medicate? I am surprised I have developed one as I don't strain in the bathroom. I wonder if its from sitting too far forward on my chair so I don't slouch. I am 36 and get plenty of exercise and have a good diet. Not great but good and how long can I expect this to last?

Any help would be appreciated. I am going back to the daddy board in the interim.

How do you know its an internal haemorrhoid? There are other causes of bleeding even at a young age.

I'd be going to see my doc toot sweet.

You're right. I am not positive. It's the on again and off again nature of it. There can't be a fissure and I had a physical with a rectal exam in October when I was there.

A simple digital PR cannot detect internal haemorrhoids. You need proctoscopy or sigmoidoscopy. And yes, it can be a fissure.

I don't mean to upset you.

I had the same problem. I finally went to my doctor about the bleeding, he referred me to a surgeon.

My appointment, with the surgeon, was at 1615hrs, by 1900hrs I was in the hospital OR diagnosted with 3rd stage cancer.

Alot of chemo and radiation, I am fine again... somewhat.

Go to a doctor, get help now, don't fuck around.

It may be nothing, it may be life threating.

Don't take chances.

Hoping the best for you

Don
