Hernia repair

That does suck! However, I wouldn't hesitate about having it repaired. It will just get worse as time goes on. If you are concerned that it wasn't done properly to begin with be sure to go for a second opinion with another doctor. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

I would consider getting a second opinion from another surgeon. Having had two hernia repairs, I questioned the decision to do them the old way and not laparoscopicaly which would have eliminated much of the pain you have gone through. 4 inch incisions seemed excessive. My incision the old way is about half that. And now, a failure for no apparent reason seems wrong. I would not go through another surgery the old way without consulting another doctor.
