Heroes Season 3: Villians [merged]

I am loving Mr. Petrelli as the new big bad this season. But why did he have to kill that cutie Adam? Also, Meredith and Noah should have killed the puppeteer guy once Claire and Mrs. Bennet were gone.

Somewhat interesting episode tonight...starting to pick up now.

Can anyone recap for me the first 10 minutes? My DVR didn't record it. How did Mr. Petrelli wake up and what happened to Mrs. Petrelli?

Thank god this last episode was actually worth watching. Claire really lucked out with her situation. The mom was stupid to give herself away like that. She should have just played ignorant and kept him occupied. Why the hell did Claire bring her along in the first place. He's has no experience or training. At least she redeamed herself pulling the trigger 3 times before a bullet finally shot out. I still hate that Meredith couldn't just burst into flames and burn the whole place down. Hopefully HRG can giver her some guidance with her powers.

OMG. Thank god Arthur took away Peter's powers. Now he won't be able to do anymore damage other than carrying on being his same old emo self. Too bad Gabriel's going soft on us. He might not be able to save the day like I hoped.

Wow, Arthur's the best villain the writers came up with so far. With all those pretty boys he has, I wonder why he's not very pretty himself, and it's not that he's old cuz I love old guys. I wonder if he's like Rogue and can't control his powers when he touches someone. He probably can cuz he has those kids. Then again, he might have taken a little dose of a weaker Shanti virus when fucking Angela. I wonder if she has an illigitimate child with Kaito tucked neatly away somewhere. Anyway, unlike Peter, Arthur can absorb aqcuired powers, too, and has the intellect to use them properly. I wonder if Arthur can control the "hunger," but he's already pretty diabolical so it's probably not too much for him to handle. Maury can probably help with some kind of mental block if it ever becomes an issue. I can't believe how powerful Maury is, blocking Peter's mind probe from getting anything more than the company logo and hitting him with a mental bitch slap like that. With so much power, I wonder what Arthur has over Maury to make him such a lacky.

I actually laughed at this week's installment of tweetle-dee Hiro's antics. at getting hit in the head with a shovel twice. Hopefully he won't use the guy just to get into the other company like he planned.

Parkman was cute trying to get Daphne to run away with him, but does he seriously think he can protect her? He couldn't even detect his father's presence at the airport. Not that he was on alert, but he's so fucking weak right now he can't even protect himself. I wonder why Mohinder didn't rush in after Daphne when she went to check the back room.

I totally saw it coming when Tracy tried to freeze Suresh. That was amusing. Hopefully there's a budget to make the ensuing fight look good and hopefully Tracy can throw an "ice beam" or protect herself with a layer of ice like Bobby Drake can. I don't think Nathan will wisk them away out into broad daylight with Mohinder hanging on with his webs.

Why the hell did he have to drug them anyway? Couldn't he just take a blood sample like he did with Maya? And why didn't he hook up with the other company? They do have what he wanted in the first place, and they could probably help him fix his situation. Also, why doesn't he try using a form of the Shanti virus to try to stop his mutation?

Oh, and why didn't they just kill the villains instead of stocking them in level 5??? The company had no qualms about killing other people, even their own children.

Adam took Arthur's hand attempting to beg for his life, but Arthur took his regeneration powers and Adam turned to dust. Arthur pulling out his long trach tube and the hole healing was pretty cool.

Claire's mother caught her just as she was leaving to rescue Meredith and managed to convince Claire to let her tag along.

Gabriel woke up Peter from his shunt to read Angela's mind and find out what happened, but Peter was blocked out except for the symbol of the other company. Angela remained in her catatonic state. Like an idiot, Peter stormed out to go to the other company, but Gabriel tried to stop him and talk some sense into him. Peter seriously pummelled Gabriel while he just lay there taking it. I guess he was trying to control himself from going into Sylar mode. Then Peter left him in the the shunt room and went to meet Arthur.

I loved last night's episode. Like you said, it was actually worth watching and very entertaining. I was actually sad to see Arthur take away Peter's powers. I hope somehow he gets them back.

Mohinder is turning into a real asshole. Being so greedy.

Parkman's cute trying to woo Daphne.

The scenes with Meredith, Claire, and her mom was really intense. That Eric Doyle guy really creeped me out.

And I think I'm falling for Ando :luv::bj:

It's a good thing that Hiro is finally starting to make more sense as a character. I was quickly growing tired with his attitude and behavior...

The scene with Doyle was so tense and creepy. I loved it! It's good to see Claire finally making progress toward convincing HRG of her potential.

Tracy and Nathan are such a cute couple. :D

I will admit, I liked the Hiro stuff this week.

Now I'm waiting for an explanation of whether or not Arthur has this "hunger" thing now or not

I still really don't like the concept of it, but I'm assuming he doesn't because he doesn't know he has it yet

This week's episode was great. Eric Doyle was creepy and I kept hoping Meredith would torch his ass, especially after Claire knocked him out.

I'm glad they killed Adam. His character was annoying last year and went no where. Seeing him decompose and turn to dust was even better than when Hiro buried him.

I think the way the show portrays "precogs" is really lame. What have we seen so far? People who can only predict the future if they happen to have a paintbrush and paint handy and Angela who can only predict the future if she falls asleep and dreams it. Surely this evolutionary explosion that created everyone's powers was able to come up with a more impressive precognitive ability than those.

I agree with everyone. "Dying of the Light" was a very good episode. Even the title was captivating.

I agree with Versat, that Arthur Petrelli is the best villain they've come up with so far. Finally a mastermind who is potentially the most powerful villain with an intellect and scheme worthy of the role. The scenes where he's paralyzed in the bed were well done too. I think it was Arthur, not Maury who put Angela in a catatonic state.

The creepy Mimic villain was very good too. I liked the Russian Roulette scene. Finally Claire redeems herself.

I have to say at this point, the season is finally picking up in a good way.

Well, looks like I was right about how Hiro "killed" Ando. That was too easy not to see it coming.

Now we know why "Future Peter" has a scar. He will get it during his "no powers" period, and because of that, won't be able to heal it. Did his father take ALL of his powers, or does he still have the Absorbtion power he was born with? Does he now have to start over?

Great episode! Maybe it was just seeing the cheeky Adam crumble into dust or emo Peter losing his powers, but this show pulled me back in again. Great creepy scene with the Puppet Master, though I was surprised Claire didn't just shoot him when she had the chance (as she did with the "black hole" guy) instead of engaging him in conversation. The Hiro scene was fun in a bugs bunny/roadrunner way and Ando is so hot and cute! I like where they are going with Sylar despite the soap opera of the Petrelli family. I'm still not sold on the Mohinder plot though. Something just seems off about his sudden sinister turn. I could understand his powers making him more physically and sexually confident, but making him a psychopathic supervillain just seems a bit much. I'm really warming up to Daphne too and I love the scene with her and Parkman.

Both for me, nothing is worse than a quick and undramatic death of a very big villain. And Peter is finally not a threat since his powers or himself are the cause of the previous two "future disasters".

LOL...so true. Hopefully, Sylar gives him a good smack now after Peter's little diatribe about being the special one now.

Ando's sooooo hot, I loved that he's not in a stuffy suit in this episode... and he needs to take his shirt off too, because his pics in IMDB prove that he's a hottie. *|*

I know right! Did you see his arms? Ando is fit. Don't know why but I get the feeling he's a good kisser.

I just wish the writers push him out of the vignettes cause his storylines are becoming boooorrring...

I have to agree. I want to like him. He's a really handsome guy, but they seem to have a hard time settling on what they want to do with him. I was kind of liking him when he first got his powers and he was just more assertive and sexy, but he quickly turned into this bumbling arch villain. I can't believe he got suckered into holding Nikki's hand after seeing what she can do.

^ You're kidding me, right? Robert Forster is an Academy Award nominee. I admit the "grounded" line was cheesy, but the guy has an acting history larger than most of the other characters combined.

This episode was all right. We finally started to see a relationship between Claire and Elle in this one. A lot of the heroes are starting to cross paths again and joining forces.

i agree, i have been enjoying robert forster's performance. this episode wasn't too bad. i did get a kick out of gabriel and his deft save of peter. i'm curious to see how this is going to progress.

I recognized the actor, and have seen him in other things, but his delivery of his lines was horrible. His facial muscles didn't move once, lol. To me he sounded like he was reading his lines off a cue card.

well this is certainly some good news!
NBC's Heroes fired co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb, who had been with the show since its first season, on Nov. 2 in a surprise shakeup, Variety reported.

The two were known to have led the day-to-day production operation under the direction of creator/executive producer Tim Kring, the trade paper reported.

Heroes Producers Fired

Tim Kring, creator and executive producer of NBC's Heroes, has been under pressure to simplify the show's storylines and refocus on character development, Variety reported.

There's been a feeling that he's delegated too much responsibility for writing and story development to his top writing lieutenants, co-executive producers Jesse Alexander and Jeph Loeb, and over the weekend, at the prodding of NBC executives, Kring made the tough call to let Alexander and Loeb go from the show that the duo had helped shepherd since season one.

Heroes' Kring To Simplify

Let's hope that livens things up. Personally, I think the show's been okay this season. There were a few slip-ups, but the last few episodes have been fantastic. They started the season all over the place but have begun to focus more and it's working out. Hopefully new producers and Kring's promise to simplify the storylines will make the show great again.
