HeroesNHnunks Homoerotic Artist Hall of Fame

As i gather images for my next poll, I'm still looking for ANYONE else who might qualify for the Homoerotic Hall of Fame...

Looking for extraordinary artists who focus (or dabble) in homoerotic imagery - either past trailblazers or current masters.

If you don't have a direct nomination PLEASE feel free to contribute potential resource links or anything on topic. I didn't mean for this to JUST be my thread.

So if you know of someone's work to share... please include your own links to hot gay art as well!

I've gathered up enough images on SOME of your nominations to get around to putting up A BRAND NEW POLL to let YOU choose who gets the next Extremely Erotic Art of.... Gallery!

Stop by the Poll to see images fro each artist - the choices this time around are as follows...

George Quaintance

Beau Bell

Goh Mishima

Logan Kowalsky

Paul Cadmus

Ben Kimura

Robert W. Richards

Kent Neffendorf

If the artist you've nominated isn't among the choices, FEAR NOT! I'm most likely still gathering enough quality images to fill a gallery and they'll likely show up in the next poll.

UPDATE: Poll still in progress... breakdown on votes so far - if you haven't added you own 2 cents... be sure to visit the poll to check out samples and vote!

Kent Neffendorf: 22%
Logan Kowalsky: 15%
Robert W. Richards: 15%
George Quaintance: 14%
Ben Kimura: 12%
Beau Bell: 12%
Goh Mishima: 7%
Paul Cadmus 2%

I had no idea Kent Neffendorf was so popular. I had never heard of him but happened upon his work (while I was looking for works by his contemporaries Beau and Robert W. Richards) and loved the look of it. Very hot stuff. I thought Beau would fare better. So if you're a fan of his stop on by and give hm some love.

PS. if anyone can help me with more sources for homoerotic images by any of the following I'd really appreciate it - they are contenders for upcoming polls... Bastille, Takeshi Matsu, ed cervone, goji ishihara, rex, mel odom, jc leyendecker and michael miksche a.k.a. steve masters. And links/leads on them would help THANKS!

Logan's stuff is hot HnH. I like how he doesn't just show the usual skinny twinks. Variety is cool in art and life.

Fantastic collection, hnh. A labor of love, and it shows. :=D:

It really is a labor of love - glad it shows. Since I started the Homoerotic Hall of Fame posts at HnH, I've discovered so many amazing gay artists working in the genre. I had no idea there were so many brilliant talents out there from so many corners of the world and points in history. So be sure to mention any you know that you don't see in this thread... you never know, they might just show up on my next poll.

Next up will be Ben Kimura.

John Blackburn's hero Coley was my first exposure to homoerotic comics. I came across Deathsnake and Running Wild while restocking the adult section of the SF comic shop I worked at in the mid-90's.

Joe Phillips is one of my favorites, specialy because it was one of the first ones I found on the internet.

Does anyone know if he's going to produce a 3rd animated movie?

consider John Blackburn nominated... Thanks for the reminder about him.

which SF comic store? I've been buying comics here since 1994.

Joe Phillips announced a House of Morecock sequel back in 2008, but i don't think it has been released.

As part of my new mandate to update one of my JUB threads each week (I have many - seek and ye shall find), here is the latest addition to the Homoerotic hall of Fame...

The Homoerotic Art of George Quaintance

His images may not be as EXTREME as the work of some of the other artists I've featured, but his seemingly tamer images were ground-breaking at the time and inspired many of the Homoerotic Artists that followed in his footsteps.

Do they use real photos
but using photoshop to convert into paintings or drawing ?
