There are a lot of us who probably never came out to our friends in university. The thing is, if they are perceptive, they probably already know you're gay as a circus, particularly if you look completely dumbstruck when they start droning on about the 'game' or the 'hot chix'.

You could be their queer eye for straight guys; help them with their fashion sense, coach them not to be neanderthals on dates, teach them how to dance......

Seriously though, you should hunt out some intelligent gay friends through the university networks so that you have an actual person to talk to and maybe go to movied with etc. Otherwise, you're missing out and while the boards are okay for chatter, they are no substitute for true friends.
