Hey guys,

I'm John, nearing 21 in a month, gay, and I was here before like three years ago, now I'm back and umm... I'm a senior at a deaf university (yes, I'm deaf), in the capital and I'm spending my summer vacation here in New England (likely to be my last summer if possible)

Umm... I planned to be a high school history teacher in deaf schools, I like sports and watching sports. I have my picture below, so guess what which team I'm a truly hard-core fan for lol

So... I hope I will enjoy my stay here and maybe stay here longer than what I did three years ago!

John

Horschallen, serious? Soon I will be Class of 2012... if I can get it within four years lol

No kidding!I majored in Art History back then and did a year internship at the Hirshhorn Museum and Sculpture Garden (modern art division at Smithsonian Institute). Grad school at RIT/NTID at a later time.

Good luck with your last year at Gallaudet.

Wow... I'm a world history major so I planned to graduate with a B.A. degree in history then move to the Midwest to get a job in historical research or data entry to save up money then go back to graduate school to get a M.A. degree in Deaf Education then I can try my hand in teaching high school history.

Thanks, the senior year should be interesting because I'm applying to join a Eastern European history class in Georgetown University.

The consortium program in DC is great. I took a course at GWU back in 1977 or 1978. If I remember correctly, Gallaudet was one of the three universities involved in this consortium and the last time I checked, there are many more universities participating in the consortium program.

Hope you get the opportunity to take the course at GT Univ...|

Yeah, thanks for your well-wishes!

I think there are 13 Universities in the consortium program now...

I w
as thinking 18 in the consortium. Maybe you are right. Still a great program and great opportunity to broaden one's horizon!

Do stay in touch and good luck this summer, too.

I'll keep in touch if needed, Horschallen. Already added you to the buddy list :)

Oh I already made my mark upon the Sports Bar with Jake, dynk, etc

I'll do that, thanks!
