Hey what to say - never blogged before - so here goes.
I love to travel - so here's my idea - an occasional item on places I've been - which at last count is over 50 countries:-
Well lets start with Local: The Lake District, England, UK
Main places to visit in my opinion are:-
Ravenglass and Eskdale Steam Railway - travels through one of the most picturesque valleys in the WORLD.
Duddon Valley or Dunnerdale - Wordsworths favourite valley in the Lake District and close to Millom where the Poet and Writer Norman Nicholson lived and wrote of the local life.
Hodbarrow lagoon and RSPB bird reserve with views of the Duddon Estuary and Lake District Fells including Sca Fell and Coniston Old Man - and close by Haverigg and Silecroft beaches with views over the Irish sea to the Isle of Man.
Wastwater, Coniston Water, Yew Tree Tarn and Esthwaite Waters.
Photos to follow soon
