High school classmates ...

I used to sit up the back of Psych. class with two other guys, always talking shit and mucking around, I remember quite a few times we had a discussion about who in our year was gay.

Turns all three of us were gay.

r u kidding???

it's really, but reeeeaally, rare a classroom without at least one single gay guy or girl. Other thing is that the person in fact hides it.

I can tell, i'm a part-time university teacher. Even one of my students came out during my class.

I'm in college now too, and there was one kid who got outed our Freshmen year because someone was using his computer and a bunch of gay porn popped up... and he didn't deny it.

I'm not out, and I doubt that there is anyone from my class who is out besides that guy.

I went to a very conservative boarding school.

I went to an all boys high school. Homsexuality was rarely discussed and if it was it was in a bullying manner. There were a couple of asian guys who didn't hide their sexuality but that was about it. Many others were suspected but none of whom I'm aware of are gay. Several others have come out and in hindsight you could have picked it, others were more suprising. Then there's guys like me who still aren't out or even 100% of their sexuality.

One guy from my class came out. But everyone expected... Oddly enough he was one of my best friends in HS and through out our first semester of college... And I didn't hear from him until our sophomore year in college. He started to avoid all of his good friends from HS because he felt that we would not accept him. Now, most of us arent friends with him not because he is gay (obviously), but because he has continued to isolate himself from us which is fine, he loves his life and most of us are happy for him.

I haven't been keeping up with the gossip of my graduating class as much as I used to when I was a Freshmen in college. Im more focused on getting out of college! But to my knowledge, he is the only one that has actually 'came out'.

i'm in high school and have lost count on howmany guys i'm in love with at my school. so many gorgeous guys here. i only personally know half of them.

I could have never come out during high school , I went to a catholic military school.

One of my best friends in high school came out to me a few years ago--several years after we graduated. I never really suspected him.

It was the strangest coming out experience I've ever had. He lives in another town and was home visiting his family and he called and we went out to dinner. At the restaurant, out of the blue, he asked me if I'd ever slept with another man.

At the time, I didn't feel particularly close to him and didn't want a friendship on that level, so I said no :^o, why do you ask?

Then, he said because he had and thought maybe it was something we had in common. !oops!

Well, shit. So, I came out to him too, somewhat awkwardly since I had just obviously lied. We've been closer friends ever since.

I knew a couple of guys that came out after high school was over. One of them was one of my friends and it surprised me because he was dating his girlfriend from Freshmen year to his senior year. This is what I did after I found out.](*,) lol He was so hot. *sigh*

Shortly after graduation I learned of a classmate who died of AIDS. I didn't know he was gay but his friend confirmed it to me. I was sad and, even though we weren't friends, I realized why he was nice to me

Years later I met a man ten years my senior who graduated from the same high school who was also gay

Small world

Wow! That's a very brave thing to do. How did people react afterwards?

Well i didn't see it coming, so it was a bit surprising for me and the students, but not shocking. Everyone was cool about that. I think that when you don't make a big deal of it, then no one else makes a big deal. Later after the class ended i overheared 2 guys asking questions to my student, but the questions was more like curiousity. So it was fine.

The first time that I went to a gay bar, I heard someone call my name and turned around to see two people from high school. We just, kinda did the...YOU!?!? thing. Certainly made the first bar trip alot easier.

Cool. That would've been a surprise. So nothing happened that was awkward? ;)
