Hilary Duff

she seems to be a much better role model
or atleast holds herself in more composure than her fellow competition

her music is catchy sometimes too

my friend and I got free tix to see her this summer and we went and had a blast...drinking among a see of 4 year olds...it was fantastic...haha...but she actually put on quite an entertaining show...and I didn't realize how many songs I knew by her...haha

I really, really dislike her. Her "music" (ie. crap) is some of the worst things I've heard; I remember being in an HMV one time and hearing one of her songs playing. My head starting to hurt pretty badly and it was only after practically running out of the store that it eventually faded. She literally gave me a headache.

Part of the reason I write music is because the music I write is real, is the truth; people go through bad times, and I think that sometimes that needs to be said. She doesn't have anything good or different to say.

As for her basically only playing shallow characters on screen, I can't say I have an informed opinion as I try to stay away from her crap as much as possible. I also remember some columnist for the New York Times calling her "talent-challenged" and I completely agreed. She replied by commenting on his age and basically implied that he was too old to rightfully judge her, which I thought was a really childish thing to say.

You want someone closer to your age to say it? Okay, here it is: you're talent-challenged, Hilary. Do us all a favor and just go away.

I think she is brilliant and she's not afraid to be poppy nowadays when everyone else is either singing about sex or how the world hates them. The lyrics on her songs are not the best for sure, but I guess thats kinda the appeal to them. Its just fun, friendly music thats not asking to prove anything else than that.

i used to be the biggest Hilary fan. Then she became all skanky with her Dignity album and such. The image she has now, it just doesnt seem like its her. The album itself is a bad mash up of crappy computerized dance tracks sans a few songs with mundane, stereotypical lyrics.

I <3 old Hilary. RIP

OH MY GOD, What An Untalented, Unoriginal, Unammusing, Uneverything Person, SHe Cant Act, She Cant Sing, She Just Hopeless, She Needs To Get More Slutty And Skanky if she wants to get anywhere else in the entertainment business

she is a FANTASTIC PERSON and STAR ,,, and you is a loser beacause you don't ricognoise her TALENT

ummmmmmmmmmmmm she sucks.
she cant sing or act.
she acts dumb.
so yeah.
there isnt reallly much to say.
she needs to eat a sandwich.

I respect her.

I'm only 19, and I grew up watching Lizzie McGuire. Yes, it was a stupid and campy show but she's broken that "child star" mold of no success. As for her acting ability, no, it's not the best, but she's just a kid. Give her some slack.

Her first couple of albums weren't fantastic, but she had some good songs like "So Yesterday", "Come Clean", and "Fly". I'm not afraid to admit that from time to time I still listen to "Sweet Sixteen".

As for Joel, I'm glad she dumped him. He went and knocked up Nicole Richie and Hilary didn't need that.

She's a great example of "young Hollywood" who haven't been corrupted (i.e., Britney, Lindsay, Paris). Her new album "Dignity" to me is one of the best albums I've listened to. She either wrote or co-wrote every song on the album. Paris and Britney don't do that. And if you really listen to her songs, you can "get" her through her lyrics.

You guys can say what you want about her, but she's young and having fun and not getting out of cars showing us the goods, and not getting drunk and partying every night, not marrying her high school sweetheart in Vegas, not all coked up and shaving her head, not in rehab, not pregnant.

She's a great rolemodel for girls. Hell, she's a rolemodel for me!

I grew up watching her on Lizzie McGuire. She's actually a pretty good actress especially with comedy. Being that young on Lizzie and being able to pull off comedy like that (she also did a lot of physical comedy) is pretty impressive.

I've always liked her. She never seemed stuck up like Lindsay or slutty like Britney.

I like her new image. She's just growing up and entering her 20s like any normal human being.

As far as her music (GUILTY PLEASURE!) :)
