I think as the time and generation changes so does the standard of beauty. What's hot back then probably is plain normal in the present time. But it would be a bit odd if someone finds a 200 years old or aged ruler attractive.

The future is so inevitable that we are already ugly. Fauxhawks will be the butt of amusement in a generation.

As will the mullet which has recently had a resurgence of popularity in Australia along with the rats tail which I will never understand.
