I was wondering this myself. I think I'm going to wait til my physical in Sept I have finally started calming down...SLIGHTLY!
 
The home tests are screening tests, so they produce a high number of false positives. They are designed to be a test that sends you to a doctor for a more accurate test if you test positive.

One limitation of the test is that it is an antibody test, so it can take weeks before there is a sufficient amount of antibody in saliva before it will return a positive result.

It's also not cheap- it costs between $40-60 retail.
 
I know the feeling I'm going in 8 days myself! This waiting has me so on edge!
