Hiv

I'm a virgin so I don't feel a need to really get tested. But when I do become sexually active, I'll be responsible by using protection and getting checked.

I've been tested many times
Only once was I terrified, never since then
Safe sex always

I have been tested. I was lucky to have a negative result considering my irresponsible sexual history. I have not had sex since the test.

What is really the point to get tested? If the test comes back negative you just go back risky behaviors (testing in itself is acknowledgement of risky behavior). And if the test comes back positive, are you going to announce to the world you have HIV?... probably not.

There are no laws or mandates that require the government to keep record of the infected for the safety of the greater population (because of one-sided human rights issues). However, I suppose if most people with HIV don't infect others intentionally and are responsible in handling their infectious state then I don't mind as much that our government does not keep track of such people.

HIV is a serious disease that deserves serious attention and serious respect by all those that engage in risky behaviors. I think since AIDS deaths don't make the news anymore as they did in the 80s and 90s many people cast it to the back of their minds not realising that it is still an incurable disease, is probably one of the most expensive ailments to treat, and no one really knows how long people can live on drug cocktails that have so many terrible side effects since real effective drugs only came out about 15 years ago.

I am so glad to be a participant in this community as it has made me more conscientious and far less promiscuous. I've been tested three times. Last time about a month ago just to make sure. Negative.

^^^Bravo Kurn!

See?

If just one person see's the light about playing safe, then JUB and some of the messages that some of us preach about is justified!

I do hope that ALL of us will become even more cautious, to use protection and NOT have sex that could lead to STDs or heaven forbid HIV!

Sorry to get so serious; but on this topic I am extremely studious, trying my best to help prevent any more HIV statistics....

You can have fun and be safe all the while!(*8*) (*8*)
