it's the 2011 5 series. my lease on my 08 is up in september, they've re-designed for 2011 and it looks awfully nice to me. i hate when they re-design right when my lease is expiring....

But, hey ! If you want it and you can swing it then by all means go for it.

(although, I hear BMW is having a lot of problems with their new electrical systems... But, you probably know that already...)
 
If you really want it and can afford it then why not? There should be nothing holding you back since your lease is up anyway.

I do like this redesign as the current 5series was looking outdated but BMW has redesigned all their new cars to look too similar to each other. Its annoying but I guess thats the point for their brand identity.
 
For me it's really more about the driving experience than the doo dads. The doo dads make it more fun to drive, but the 5 I'm driving now is the nicest, most responsive vehicle I have ever driven. As far as them all looking alike, what should I do? Build my own?

I've never really liked the BMW giant nostril crazy look design, but I have heard of its great preformance. If you can afford it why not switch to an Audi? I hear they're preformance is also great and IMO they look nicer.

When I got my first BMW in 08 I drove all the cars that were equivilant in price and size. I thought the BMW handled best and was most comfortable. I will drive them all again, be sure of that. I have 8 months so probably have to decide in time to order whatever it will be a few months in advance. It's fun to go driving all these cars. I love it.

It was the Audi design that brought me into the market, I think they are the sharpest looking of them all. They don't drive or perform like the BMW tho.
I've grown to like the BMW looks, and I love climbing behind the wheel to drive it. Sounds kinda like my mind is made up...
