Holiday Calories

Christmas only happens once a year so eat whatever the fuck you want and worry about it later...|

I agree, like I told him, enjoy it a little at a time (don't eat the whole thing!) or take it somewhere for holiday get-togethers. That's the best way to get rid of it and you won't feel guilty about pitching it out.

You're so cute when you pretend that you are getting back on topic. ;)

And yes, I'd LOVE a little CHRISmas cookie too! Its a plus that its calorie free! O:)

Rick,

I too like to lick the frosting off a CHRISmas cookie

those melt in the mouth sugar cookies

Ok, I just got off the treadmill. Walking and jogging - 220 calories.

What's that? Two Christmas cookies? :(

I don't make the holiday fattening stuff for myself, but it seems to find me. My students tend to bring things like cookies, candy canes, chocolate, etc. I try to give them away, but I do love the candy canes and oatmeal cookies.

When eating meals this time of year, I try to be sensible, not eating too much. Some meals are easier than others, of course.

new year, new diet? we'll see

Pickles are a good diet treat

but Rick can just dance those Chris-cookies off or is it the Chris-cream that needs to be worked off

I can't resist eating them if they are given to me. This afternoon, I ate 5 delicious home-baked cookies. Now I regret it.

I used to not care. Then in my last year of college, I started gaining wieght during the holidays -- it tended to be 15 pounds!

Now I try to watch things. I may hold the weight gain to under ten pounds this year; only up five, so far (since Halloween).

I love to dance! What a great idea! And yes, that Chris-cream can be hard to get off you! :p

seven_sins, I know the feeling. But I think I'm going to still enjoy them in moderation.

Kulindahr, good luck with the weight gain. Try walking a little more in the next few weeks.

Walking more...

I spend a couple hours a day moving dirt and sand, and hoofing it up and down a 45 deg slope of rock and moss.

My big problem is a seasonal disorder: at this time of year, my body just sucks up more calories from the food. I'll gain 5 pounds over the winter, even with the same exercise level and calorie intake!

But egg nog is so good....
