I only recently became aware of this, there is an FDA approved home test kit for HIV 1/2 that is simple and easy and cost less than $40.00 US. The price is from Amazon, major drug stores Walgreen's, Cvs, RiteAid, Walmart, Target may be slightly higher.
You get results in 20 minutes or less. Swab your gums, place the swab in the solution, wait 20 minutes. The name of the test is OraQuick. I have no affiliation with any of these companies.

So come on guys, test yourself or test yourself and your hookup partner. If the partner refuses , then you really shouldn't hook up with him.

Testing is the best way to stop the spread of HIV.

Most of the guys on hook up / dating sites claim HIV negative but do they really know. Spend a few bucks and know your status. Do it a few times per year. You spend more than this on one good meal or a visit to your favorite bar.

Just do it, it's painless and most of you will be negative, but if positive you need to start treatment now.

I feel very strongly about this, Just Do It. You will be glad you did.

Still boys please use condoms because even though you may be on Truvada it is not a cure for HIV! Also watch out for your bone density Truvada and other HIV drugs have an active class action lawsuit involving osteoporosis. Be safe fellas!

All STDs have increased in men who have sex with men.

During the past 30 years, STD rates had declined in the LGBT community because of safer sex practices- particularly the use of condoms.

Since condom use has declined, rates of syphilis and antibiotic-resistant gonorrhea have increased. We also anticipate that there will be an increase in anorectal cancer secondary to HPV infections, too. HIV isn't the only reason to use condoms. And remember- if you are sexually active outside of a monogamous relationship, you should be tested for all STDs- not just HIV.

You can get free testing done for HIV and all the STDs at the county health department. They will even give you free condoms.

That may be a local service provided by your State. Not sure my State does it that way...although they do have a "sliding payment scale" depending on your income.

Same for Planned Parenthood- they do full STD testing and they also accept Medicaid and cash payment on a sliding scale.
