Homepage Update

Here's a list of new features and fixes available on the new upgrade.

• New Homepage Navigation
  • Provides forward compatibility - the previous navigation prevented us from adding more features.
  • Increase usability - now, if a section is disabled the link will no longer display.
• Subscriptions Option
  • You can now subscribe/unsubscribe while visiting any Blog or Gallery - subscription status is visible.
    • Subscription notifications are sent out whenever a new item is submitted within that Blog or Gallery.
    • Subscription notifications will only be sent if entry submission time is greater than subscriber's last activity time on site.
  • All Blog and Gallery subscriptions can be managed via the Subscriptions Manager within your USERCP.
• "Make Private"
  • This option allows you to hide your homepage from the general public (non-registered viewers).
• Password Protected Homepage
  • This option hides your homepage from everyone except those who have access to your homepage password. Password can be changed at any time by you.
• New Favorites Section - display all your favorites
  • Homepage description, popular, hot, views, and rating statistics information are available for each favorite.
• RSS Syndication
  • Syndication available in XML, RSS 0.91, 1, and 2
  • Add to MY YAHOO, WINDOWS LIVE, MY MSN, GOOGLE, AOL button options available.
• SEO-freindly URL's - All pages are now SEO friendly.
  • Titles included in all URLs - a good example is a blog titled "CSS Design and Beauty" - the URL for the blog will now be domain.com/view.php?blog=1&css-design-beauty
  • Previous URL's will not break.
  • Resubmit title for this to take affect (settings page).
• Report Abuse Option - report a homepage that's against company policies
  • CAPTCHA available for non-members.
• What's New For Blog
  
  • You can now enable/disable side panels.
  • New abstract option enables you to provide an abstract for each blog entry - a great way to shorten long blog pages.
  • HOW-TO: Insert [ENDABSTRACT] at the end of a paragraph - any text before [ENDABSTRACT] will be used as your abstract for that entry. Abstract is optional - we suggest that you use it whenever you submit a long entry. (Reader won't have to scroll as much.)
• What's New For Gallery
  • Optional "title" can now be added along with description when uploading new photos - great for usability and SEO purposes.
  • Gallery URL's are now SEO-friendly
    TIP: Use keywords in title, description, and file name for SEO purposes.
• Additional Homepage Options
  • You can now Enable/Disable panels within the Profile section.
  • You can now choose the number of entries to display in Latest Entries, Blog Favorites, Buddy List, etc, etc panels.
  • You now have a "Control Panel" link within your homepage.
• NEW Profile Panels
  • Google Map - "Where I Live"
  • Google Videos - "Currently Watching"

• photo count bug
• images in preview not being parsed when creating entries
• blogtitle cache ... cache wasn't working properly
• last visit / last activity bug (not showing up)
• signatures now showing in profile page
• gallery / blog serialize bug
• added blog delete queries when deleting user
