Is your hometown the sort of historic or photogenic town which attracts a lot of visitors or a bit of a dump? Care to post a few pictures?

Birmingham is far from being a beautiful city, despite some notable civic buildings, but will be welcoming many visitors this summer for the 2022 Commonwealth Games. I'll be keeping well out of the way of that!

I feel that I've almost spammed this place with pictures of Edinburgh.

There are of course plenty of scummy areas as well.

How are you defining hometown? The one I live in, the one I was born in?

Whichever you choose, tell us about both if you like. I wasn't born in Birmingham, it's where I currently live and work.

I currently live in Salem, OR the capitol city of Oregon. The place is fairly boring, but it is a bit touristy. Many of the state buildings are made out of a white and black marble that looks nice when not coated in mold.

I was born, but not raised in a little coastal town named Coos Bay, OR. As most coastal towns it can be very photogenic.

Not my home town but the county(Bergen County NJ) has some history especially with Dutch and English settlers.
