Homosexuality in Pakistan

Tolerance for LGBTs is a relatively recent phenomenon in the west itself - a gradual development since Alfred Kinsey's bombshell 1948 report, and few were out before this century.

Of course a few other events happened in the West first, one, the reformation of religion, two, the enlightenment, three the liberation of women, and four the sexual revolution. Will all the above take 500 years? I hope not. The West does have an effective habit of exporting its culture.
Actually prior to Christianity's take over of the West most Pagan areas were fairly accepting of homosexuality in it's various forms.

As for Islam no Islam will never accept gays because the Quran and Hadith are against gays. That being said individual Muslims might be accepting the best we can hope is that these societies will be liberalized and more people will ignore the evil things in their religion or better yet leave them all together.

As for Pakistan it is a horrible place. They have blasphemy laws, apostasy laws, sodomy laws etc. Then again several Islamic nations have these things.

homosexuality is illegal in the caribbean and the society homophobic. the penalty in jamaica is 10 years in prison and barbados life in prison. however even though there is no chance of the laws changing as it would be political sucide, no one has been charged for the offence in living memory. well at leas not in the last 50 years. and we have also had some gay politicans but they never came out but it was obvous and universally known, but only spoken about in jokes by the opposing political party

It's a theological view of the relationship of the son, with the father when attempting to understand the relationship of the human person, with its creator. Theological language needs to be understood within the puzzling thought that the creator lives, in the life of its creation.

To quote Jesus: I, and the father, are one.

To bore you further :D the theological term for "in dwelling" is consubstantiation.

Humans made things up and say its fact, example:
the father the son and the holy spirit. :##:

We won't even bother with most of the Caribbean islands any more.

I'd jump off the boat and drown myself before I ever set foot in the shithole island of Jamaica.

Actually...I'd travel to Pakistan before I'd think of drawing breath in Jamaica.

Loathsome, loathsome place.

Why are the Caribbean Islands, particularly Jamaica, so anti-gay? Is it because of the Christian legacy, Rastafarianism, the general post-colonial culture, or something else?

No one has much documentation of what was going on in the 17th century before the Spanish Catholics arrived.

But here is a clue to male anxiety about hygiene living n "Third World Countries" in hot climates without "First-World sanitation"—

I just want to ad new words in the fun.
Homosexualistan what ever that means :)

Well the only reason the Caribbean is homophobic and likewise Africa is because of the European Christians and in the case of Africans the Arab Muslims forcing their religion on the native Black Africans and forcing their homophobia on them as well. Most traditional African societies prior to the Abrahamic religion were pretty accepting of LGBT people. Likewise in Pakistan back when they were Hindu before Islam came in they were pretty accepting of LGBT peoples. That is one thing Abrahamics are good at spreading sodomy laws around the world.

Also pat grimmshaw we do have documentation of how things were prior to Christian and Islamic imperialism in Africa. Most African societies accepted homosexuals and even in third world societies they still have tools available for anal cleansing if that is what you are referring too. Douches have been found in many ancient societies including tribal ones.

I have heard that Haiti is pretty chill with gay people thanks to the strong influence of the Vodoun religion there which is pretty accepting.

You heard wrong.
Very wrong.

Never confuse homosexual conduct with homosexuality.
