Homosexuality Remains Illegal In Montana

Homosexuality is not illegal in Montana.

The state law on it is nothing more than a token law that Montana keeps to reflect their collective bigotry.

It is not enforceable.

I also saw a study that showed clearly

when they weren't fucking long horn cattle

or big horn sheep, those guys on the other

side of the pasture fence, the heterosexuals

were making new queers and all other kinds of

babies tooo. Disgusting...oh wait, maybe that was

in Wyoming or Utah.

Why would they be wasting time trying to repeal a law that has been superseded by a Supreme Court decision? And why is this publication incorrectly reporting that homosexuality is illegal in MT?

Or is it simply more political theater??

Holding hearings to demonize is political theater which cut right into the heart and soul of every gay citizen in that state. This saddens me.

Oh good grief, I've seen some absurd defenses of Republicans from you Jack, but this one takes the cake!

How about because having it remain on the books is a stain on the character of the people of Montana?

How about because almost all other states have taken the honorable step to remove such outdated and discriminatory laws from their codes?

How about because it is the right thing to do?

The law needs to be changed. The republicans are threatening to reverse DADT's overturn AND defend DOMA in court.

They have made it clear where their energies are and this stuff needs to be gone.

Would MLK have accepted segregation just on the promise that it not be enforced?

nope

I did not know it was illegal to be gay in that state.

This just gives me one more reason to hate this country.

^Didn't Georgia have anti sodomy laws for a long time?

Yes, a lot of states did.

Even though they are all void now, my point to Jack was that imo it's not a "waste of time" to right a wrong such as that archaic law by removing it from the books even if it's only symbolic at this point.

These people are insane. They talk about the cost of HIV--what about the cost of unintended pregnancies? What laws were they talking about post World War? And what type of medical doctor did they get to testify?

Whilst trying to avoid name calling and asking EVERYONE to

think before you type off, mouth off or spout off. Lets not be

Jerk Offs, you are all in the same barn at night and Jacks own

thoughts are no more absurd than someone saying he hates an

entire country because HE IS bORED.............

^ I didn't call anyone names and I was not intending to insult anyone. I apologize if my post came across like that.

It just annoys me when anyone offers excuses for low life bigots like this.

I would have liked to have seen Montana.

But srsly. When will elected officials realise that once in office it is not a platform to promulgate their personal beliefs but the beliefs and wishes of the voters.

Atlanta, mine was a generic post...you are far from being

the most flagrant or blatant violator of the call someone a

name game.(!)..|(!)
