I had a guy over last night who was pretty good looking. We chatted for a bit and then we start making out and when I was about to take off his shirt he tells me "I think I'm going to go" He told me that it wasn't me and that he doesn't do this often so he put his coat on and everything and just left. Do you think that was BS and it was something with me or is that normal in the hookup world? This has happened to me several times so far, once last fall, once last spring, and last night where the guy just left. I'm feeling self conscious about it now and I didn't get to last night

I agree. Most colognes etc tend to be overpowering or taste nasty if you accidentally lick them

I have heard a lot of guys tell me after AIDS came around that they "changed their minds" when they were about to have sex with a guy if he wasn't "hot enough"....and went on to sometimes justify it by saying that if they were gonna take a chance on getting AIDS...it would have to be "worth it"...

Since it's happened several times, after making out, chances are you need to, erm, brush up on your kissing.

Scent is so highly subjective....and one person's favourite cologne may be another person's absolute turn-off. My advice? Always go freshly showered after using unscented soap and shampoo (unless the Hook-up is a declared scent pig), smelling only like you.

I have always cleaned up just prior heading out to meet the guy. I tend to use a very mild deodorant and then one of my numerous colognes, but just lightly. I simply cannot go unscented; I'd rather smell slightly sweaty and flavoured than just like light body odour if the event occurs a couple hours later than immediately.
